Choosing a flying school is the biggest hurdle and the most confusing step in becoming a pilot.
Along with the huge amount of finances involved and the risk your whole career at stake, this one crucial step must be taken after due diligence and proper research.
To make your research easier, this video will share with you, all you need to look for when finalising on a flying club.
The following is a list of the points you need to see and consider.
1- The cost
2- The number of students
3- The availability of CFI/Instructors
4- The geographical location of the flying school
5- The number and type of airplanes
6- The maintenance of the aircrafts
7- Overlogging/underlogging- malpractices
8- Quality of training
9- Runway/airfield ownership
10- Miscellaneous items
Proper research, good thorough diligence and a few months time are absolutely necessary to make it to a good place, and that's what will either make or break your career as a pilot.
Now, how to find out these things?
Well, talking to the flying school will give you the basic information you require
The best source of reliable information are the students and the people actually flying at a particular flying club.
Also, the first thing you should do when you wish to join aviation is to not join a flying school but join a ground school, so that you have a better understanding of things, including which flying school you should be joining and which one you shouldn't.

Captain, I have a dream for my child. Apart from the flying school details, being a pilot/Captain, please share your unbaised opinion on training or to get trained, which aircraft or aeroplane model has high demand in market for next generation kids, who all aspire to become pilot. Boeing or Airbus? What do you think is more beneficial to start career, as I heard and read that if you get trained in one aircraft company i:e you start your career in Boeing, you have to continue flying Boeing models only for the rest of your life. Is it true?

Are flying schools in india flexible with people working full time in other jobs. I know some people in the US who have learnt flying and got CPL while working full-time. They fly early morning or late in the evening. Having said that they had to leave their jobs at some point into their flying.

The Bombay Flying Club is nice as it operates from Juhu Airport and not from the regular CSIA runway Also I had a doubt, if you do a particular number of flying hours from a flight school and then join another one, will the previous hours be counted at the new school ?

@@shwetachoudhary4056 After completing class 12,you need to do your class 2 medical..and then prepare for DGCA exam either by self-study or by taking ground-classes and in the mean while you also need to do your class 1 medical...and then you can join a flying school .Hope it helps.

If shirt sector , definately no, coz lot of things to do... Take off ,landing, paper work, fuel calculations.... Atc calls , taking weather from ATIS, preparing for Descend and landings ... , Long sector ,if u have good capt / FO.. it will be interesting.. Maintenance engineer and getting CPL is two different things. However both is cleared by DGCA.

Hi Dhiraj, for type rating go abroad it's cheaper... in India it cost u around 15 L for 320.. outside around 11-12 L including accomodation.. Bahrain..
