Funny story: you know how that turtle shoots what is essentially a kamehameha from Dragon Ball? Kamehameha is a reference to a Hawaiian king of the same name, with the word “kame” meaning “turtle” in Japanese.

i love the trouble that always seems to find maple, but just realized the anime made a mistake in the season closer episode. maple turns into atrocity to eat pain but when her 2 friends revive, they act like the don't know its maple and look terrified, but yet there in this earlier ep. when she becomes the monster for the first time

I guess swallowing your enemy is among the worst ideas you can have afterall. Nobody has a prehensile stomach so that's your most defenseless spot with no way to fight back. Happend in Timon and Pumbaa where it was the monster worms downfall.

To be fair, how one could imagine that gastric juices would be no more than water for somebody ( her ridiculously strong unique armor is melting, any other player would die more or less instantly ) ?

There was another gamer that took her hard-core gamer experience to a different world. Unfortunately for giant snakes and worms in a certain Bear-San's new world, she discovered that hard skin didn't matter and defeating them was easy as pie, if they were stupid enough to eat the flaming bears she fed them and then swallow them into their defenseless stomachs😁.

That's why later on in the novel, one boss again attempted to eat someone but instead being fed of explosives and died because of internal explosions. The staff monitoring the battle literally said "WHO THE HELL make the boss open its mouth again! I thought everyone here have learnt their lesson after what Maple did!"
