I have fallen from the faith, and yet I still adamantly believe in its highest ideals, and its teachings of caring, love, and grace. Although Humanity's worst and most vile behaviors in no way stand as a proof for the non-existence of God, I have always been deeply moved by an earnest act of faith performed by the humblest of persons. Therein, I suggest, is one of the greatest testaments that can be found in Humanity's behaviors for the potential reality of a higher -- even the highest -- being who truly cares about and loves each person, however high or low, however loving or hateful, however constructive or destructive, and wants that person, and Humanity on the whole, to do well, and be the best -- the most exalted, good, constructive, and beneficent - he or she, and Humanity, can be. Such acts of faith act as a beacon, as a guiding light, for the potential reality of God and all the kindness, goodness, caring, grace, and love we envision as being the essence of such a God. It is also though the earnest act of praise for such a higher being, a god -- THE God -- that deeply moves me toward a reconciliation with my former faith. I find myself wondering: How could such a sincere act of praise, such a sincere act of faith, be possible if it were not inspired by something substantial, compelling, and real? Something whose presence is sincerely felt by those who offer those acts of praise, thanks, and faith? This song, written by Evgeni, its vocal arrangement by Mariya, and its immaculate performance by Mariya, Aleksandrina, Vanya, and Christina, is one of those acts of praise that brings me closer to the faith I once had, and, moreover, reaffirms my belief in the highest ideals that it teaches. All blessings to Evgeni, Mariya, Vanya, Christina, and Aleksandrina, and through those blessings may they further bless the world with their gifts and talents.
