Bogota's architecture has influence of Spain, France, England, Dutchland and Italy, but as the same time, the city has its own identity and culture, so as the years goes by and new methods of construction and ideas arrive, they've developed their own contemporary architecture within an eclectic colonial city

Colombia reminds me of Pablo Escobar. But I'm glad that they have recovered from all the drug cartel. I love the narration of the videos and how you told about the history of Colombia. The fruits remind me of the fruits we have on my home country, Philippines. I didn't know that Colombia is a culinary haven.

Please, allow us to leave that name in the past. I'm sure almost every country has had its own monster from the past, they're just lucky to be forgotten by the rest of the world. I'm just asking for the same treatment. He died almost 30 years ago, there's no reason to keep associating us with him

Isn't the food in Colombia amazing! I'm glad you had the Lechon, our kids just couldn't get enough of it. I think it reminds them of their Mom's Filipino dishes.

Oh man...loved that video great job. It brought me back to our video in Amazonia in Peru where we went through the market and collected all the wild / crazy foods to try. I can say we've been to Bogata but...we never left the airport :( I guess we need to go back!

Awesome video! I haven’t eaten today yet and this video makes me regret it 😂 So many foods I’ve never seen before (or maybe they’re fruits or vegetables?). Thank you for sharing! I can’t wait to explore South America ☺️

I have a good friend staying just outside of Bogota at a really cool place where they teach kids English and help feed the poor in the area. She raves about Bogota and now I know why. It looks like a beautiful city! I loved the market looked like such amazing produce and vegetables.

Wow, you guys really love your food, and I'm really enjoying watching your videos, but I have to stop. For now, at least. Y'see, I'm halfway through a 72hr fast and I was doing just fine until I saw all the incredible food here. I'm now salivating a beyond healthy amount :) Love your work!

Oh my gosh, your video quality is so good...I just stared in awe as you made me hungry with every beautifully plated dish. Some audio bits were a struggle for me btw.

Harry Sasson's food does look amazing! I am sure taste just as good as they look. Also fruit tasting in the local market just the best. How did you find the local guide and what was the cost?

That would have been good information to put in the video description (it's there now)! But we booked through Airbnb and the cost was $20 per person. Angelica was great...here's the link if you're interested: www.airbnb.com/experiences/207696?s=10&shared_item_type=2&virality_entry_point=2&sharer_id=212141869

How was the local market tasting? What was the weirdest food that you`ve tried there? Restaurants dishes as always are amazing in your videos!

We didn't try anything too crazy, but they have so many fruits...it's insane. Guanabana had this crazy texture though. When you took a bite of the fruit, it felt like you had a mouthful of cotton...it was pretty weird (but tasted really good!). 👍🏻

We'd love to know what you thought of the food in Colombia vs. Lima, which is supposed to be the culinary capital of Latin America.
@TheNearAndAway
@TheNearAndAway 4 жыл бұрын
Lima is way better...but to be fair they've been in the elevated food game longer than Colombia. We ate at Maido in Lima (arguably the best restaurant in all of Latin America) and it was amazing. However, we've been in Buenos Aires for a couple of weeks now, and the food culture is amazing here...it gives Lima a run for it's money! The food in Lima is amazing, but pretty one dimensional...while the food in Buenos Aires is so diverse! Anyways, thanks for watching guys!
