It can do even more, it can set certain sounds to play at a specific location. Can make a gascloud in which it is invisible and can even mimic human footsteps.

I own an Edison Amberola like the one shown here as SCP-1576. it was given to me by a family friend who is obsessed with antiquated media. Its one of the early models with the loud ratchet-style winder. Really lovely machine and the sound is wonderful.

I really liked this video, went back and watched all the old scp videos which I hadn’t seen before. Bo locking the door as he flees, trapping and dooming his former allies, never gets old.
