dude your shading style is crazy awesome, are you just using a black and white brush then making the layer go over the coloring and changing the transparency? or using a transparent brush and having the layer go over the coloring

Idk if you’ll ever read this but thank you for sharing this because this made me realize why I’m so bad at art. I use to be really good and could draw any character when i was about 12-13 but I started trying again in the past year and I couldn’t figure out what i was missing but when i watched this I remembered that art is an expression of who you are and freedom to draw whatever you want in any style and its basically a gateway for your soul to breathe. I use to draw because i loved it and it was a fun way to express my imagination but nowadays i had been drawing because i wanted to be good and be satisfied to say i could do something not a lot of people could so i got worse and worse because i would give up when they were bad drawings and wouldn’t give myself a chance to improve whereas i would draw for hours upon hours before and just have fun. So it just made me realize you can never truly be good at something if your not doing it to enjoy it.

Uhm, hey.. I wanna ask you something if you don't mind - did you colour your drawing on the art line? I mean, did the you put the layer of the art line at the bottom and the layers for colouring above it? I'm a beginner to digital art and usually I keep the art line layer in the most above so, I wonder if you've done the opposite way??
