Taylor was never written as anything other than ridge love interest .I don't understand when people say rewrite as if Taylor as even been written as a independent character outside of ridge, they never gave Taylor any independent storyline, she is supposed to be a psychiatrist but they never gave her any Profesional storyline that as to do with that, compare that to brook being a chemist, making a fabric invention because of that which leads to her getting forester creation, what Profesional accomplishments have they ever given Taylor that played out on screen and was not just spoken about. Second they never gave Taylor attachment outside of ridge, her best friend is ridge mother the woman with a motive and the only time they are shown close is when they are trying to win ridge, they never even bothered to give Taylor any family ,no father, no sister or brother, all we know about her family are things Taylor says not things that plays on screen, even nick was given a mother. When you write a character without any branches, you are limited to what storyline you can do with that character, her entire storyline from the moment she arrives revolves around being ridges wife,the mother of his children and fighting brook advance to ridge, of cause she is together and strong when she as all three what happens when she loses ridge ?.it's not a rewrite it's the natural progression of a story, people want het to be written the same way she was when she was winning now that she is losing and that's not realistic.
