That scene between Brooke and Caroline ... I'm so moved by it. Their history suddenly doesn't matter in the slightest - just that they care about each other's wellbeing. And arguments about Brooke versus Caroline just seem totally inappropriate in this context.

That's not true because, when Caroline die off the Bold And The Beautiful millions of fans stopped watching the Bold And The Beautiful, and year's (2012) after that Ridge and Stephanie left the Bold And The Beautiful and again millions of fans completely stop watching the Bold And The Beautiful!

This was the story that made me fall in love with 'Bold' in the first place, and for many years after. It was a sad story but a great one. Hunter Tylo was wonderful as Caroline's Oncologist Taylor. I loved her right from the first scene. I think Hunter Tylo had just completed pre-med in real life in between her soap gigs. She was a great choice as the doctor.

I feel bad for the Caroline fans that her time on the show is almost done, but this storyline is very moving so far. Great writing and acting, and exploration into the different aspects/feelings involved for all.

See Brooke really did care for Caroline she cared enough to rush over when she found out about her illness. But there Bill goes jumping to conclusions because he wants so bad for Ridge to be messing around on his daughter. I really wish Caroline didn’t leave the show because I wonder how different B&B storylines would look today.

I stopped watching years ago, but I imagine Brooke and Caroline would have made a great team with a lasting friendship after finally having forgiven one another for the mistakes they made. And then being able to support one another through the preposterous and tiresome storylines in the subsequent decades. These early scenes are grounded in a "reality" of genuine emotion and moving performances.

@@jennygustave2074 Yes me too, absolutely. I understand those who support Caroline and those who support Brooke, but I like to support both of them and not always take sides. They both had motivations (sometimes misguided) for how they behaved, and they both made mistakes, but I don't think either is a "bad" person, and I can easily forgive them both because I love them both so darn much. There is an innate goodness to Brooke in these scenes that cannot be taken away by all the misguided decisions, or the way she chased the vagaries of her ever-changing passions and loving heart.

I am sobbing during the scene with Caroline finding out the results of her blood tests. My beautiful baby cat Filou died of lymphoma last year (another form of blood cancer like Caroline's leukaemia), so even though I was moved by Caroline's diagnosis and decline in 1990 when I was 20, it packs an even more powerful emotional punch now, as I'm sure it does for everyone in this community who has had to deal with terminal illness. Joanna Johnson's performances were exceptional.

I am so sorry about your cat. I have had two cats to die from feline leukemia in the early 2000's. One lived to be 4 years old and the other lived to be 5. Both were vaccinated against the leukemia, but the vet said that the vaccine is not 100% effective.

@@shanemarais823 Thank you. I love animals. My friends tess me that I missed my calling and should have been a vet. I am a sucker for strays. I can't stand to see an animal go hungry. My boss told me once that when I find one cat a home, the rest put up a vacancy sign.

My thoughts exactly. Very unrealistic writing. Also the blood specimen only had C. Spencer written in ink. In reality , it would have come with accompanying paperwork identifying the patient ( full name, date of birth) and a label on the blood specimen tube.

Margo very sensibly voices what I've been thinking all along >>> this whole "Stephanie contesting the divorce" storyline would fall flat on its face (if storylines had faces) if Brooke and Eric bought a house, moved in together and just carried on with their lives. Stephanie could then sit stewing in her divorce machinations to infinity. It's Eric and Brooke's own myopic views that keep them trapped by Stephanie's "power to control their lives".

Yup. She can't do anything if they do that. He wants a divorce. She is stalling. In this situation. Lots of people move on and carryin with there lives. They don't stop being with the person they love. Marriage is just a paper. Eric and brooke can still be parents who live and raise there kids together. You don't need to be married to do that

What a colossal failing of some contemporary human societies that loss of weight in a woman should be considered a compliment. Loss of weight = you are looking good. Even if you're dying of a terminal illness in this instance.

there were 2 different completely characters, Taylor wasn't a Caroline replacement, they gradually built her to enter Ridge's life as a love interest

Gosh, I stopped watching B&B when sweet Caroline died 😢 She was my favorite 😢😢😢 Then when I heard JJ had come back as her twin sister Karen I started watching again. I hoped Karen and Ridge would have been a couple but it didn't happen as I wished ☹️

Brooke was a good person and was very sad about Caroline she couldn’t believe she was going to die,She knows Ridge loved Caroline and she loved him still and knew he would be devastated learning his wife was going to die,Brooke was a caring person no matter what the Brooke haters choose to believe,Brooke’s mistake was falling in love with Ridge and desperate for awhile to keep him,She accepted his decision even though it was painful for her,Eric was there for her he made it clear to her he had deep feelings for her at a time when she needed someone and Eric let her know he was interested in her and she loved him but I don’t believe she was in love with him,She would always be in love with Ridge no matter who she met or married and Ridge would always be in love with Brooke even though he chose to marry Caroline and Taylor Brooke would always be forever in his heart and mind ❤

Sad to say, but Caroline is not worth Brooke's compassion. And it is Brooke's fault for going over there. Brooke kept good feelings for Caroline in spite of Caroline being her tormentor.

You are blind enough how this influenced Brooke and how shocked she is. So come on Caroline has a bad character and even if I want to show compassion for her condition I can't because she makes me feel sick
