Ridge was utterly dismayed when Brooke told him she was pre g nant with his child in episode 485. Stephanie and Eric had to talk him into stepping up. Now we're expected to believe he would've been kin to have a baby with a baby minor, year prior during his playboy days? So we're expected to believe Ridge had a grand, romance novel type of love with a minor? The only constant that comes with this rewrite is Steph's convictuion 11:15

Agree with you. Ridge is making no sense in this storyline? He appears to be reacting to this revelation with the perspective he has at this time being a family man not the playboy he once was. Stephanie seems to be the only one displaying common sense in this storyline. 😁

I agree this sl and Rigde's take on the whole thing makes no sense. When Brooke tried to put twice a child on him, he was mad at her and wanted nothing to do with it. Now yet we are made to believe Rigde would have given a damn many years prior to that about Morgan or a possible Baby. It's nonsens and bs. Especially since both were obivicously were not so involved with each other to stop sleeping around with others. Is it clear that he really was the father anyway. Morgan and rigde take zero accountablity and responsiblity her for the truth, they own actions and ways. Like always Stephanie is the scapegoat. I still don't see here not anything wrong with the way Stephanie tried to handle a terrible situation. She forced no one to do anything. Morgan agreed with it and went through with it. There was no maniplution, forcing or anything. And all of the sudden now Morgan wants a child, when she could have done that decades go. Morgan was unstable and troubled than and is it now, which had nothing to do with Stephanie or this situation. Rigde was an irresponsible brat and jerk than and he still is it.

I forgot this part in the macy/thorne/brooke storyline... true brooke was a master at homewrecking but at this point Thorne was at least physically committed to his marriage to macy. But she made it so easy for brooke to swap in with her total delusional ideas and thoughts. She could have just been straightforward but yet again it's macy we're talking about always running away from confrontations

How is Macy being de lu sional when she is _right?_ Thorne and Brooke do have an emotional involvement. They have _already_ crossed the line (the wedding dress scene). They _will_ cross the line again (the steamroom scene) before they even find out about Macy's struggles with alcohol. Brooke's "acceptance" of Thorne's marriage only lasts a few weeks before she changes her mind again. So how is Macy responsible for her husband's emotional infidelity? Macy isn't _making_ Thorne and Brooke have an affair. They do that all on their own. And they are doing it regardless of Macy's insecurities. And far from running from confr on ta tions, Macy will go to Ridge in the next few episodes and all her suspicions will be _confirmed._

It's almost as if Thorne thinks Macy is overreacting. He broke his promise to spend the evening with her *twice* in the same week, leaving her alone while he was busy doing other things that were not, strictly speaking, necessary (and coincidentally doing those other things with Brooke). He keeps working closely with Brooke who both Macy and Thorne _know_ still has feelings for Thorne, in spite of her actively trying to break up his marriage until just a few weeks ago, including making moves on Thorne in the office (showing that Macy's concerns about him and Brooke working together are entirely justified). If anything, Macy is _underreacting_ in that interaction with Thorne. She has every right to be upset.

Ironically here Taylor can't imagine she would be in Morgan' s place few years later. She would have that procedure with Nick showing how much he loved him, wanting to give him the thing he missed the most in his life. That was an act of pure love and devotion to her man and so in character for her. I loved that Taylor. Morgan has all the rights to want a baby but we know that she is overreacting. She said Taylor she wants a baby in an old fashion style (already thinking maybe to Ridge) and Taylor suggested her a clinic.

*Macy caught in the middle of the double narrative* Macy's desperate "I have to know" at the end of her scene is so telling. It shows that what is driving Macy to the verge of a relapse is _not_ actually Thorne being involved with Brooke, it's the _uncertainty_ regarding whether or not Thorne is in love with Brooke or with Macy - that is, the "double narrative" that I have been talking about even since the beginning of this storyline! It's as if _Macy the character_ is sensing the ambiguity in the _narrative,_ and this confusion about her own role in the storyline is causing her so much stress that she is actually breaking down. She is a relatable Good Girl, she hasn't done anything wrong, she is the one who is actually married to Thorne and who has always been portrayed as his true love, and yet in this new romantic fairy tale of Thorne and Brooke, she is being portrayed as the "other woman" and the obstacle these star-crossed lovers need to overcome in order to be together. And now Macy is struggling to figure out if she is the heroine of her own story, or the antagonist of someone else's, because she _acts_ and _feels_ like the former, but is being _treated_ like the latter in the increasingly unreliable writing.

The conversation between Stephanie and Ridge once again made me want to smack Ridge. “You forced her to get an abortion without getting parental consent, Mother.” First of all, jackass, abortion is the one thing you don’t need parental consent for. Second of all, did you get parental consent for f*cking her and knocking that minor up? Didn’t think so. Thorne and Macy . . .sigh . . .girl, he is not worth losing your sobriety over. Drinking aside, Thorne’s dismissiveness grated. The Taylor and Morgan scenes were all kinds of messed up, but for some I cracked up at the “Oh, we’re not together, I have a husband and three kids!” line from Taylor. There was something so wonderfully, smugly dismissive about HT’s line delivery and the way she waved her hand. As a side note, HT looks *amazing* in this episode. Her face, figure, hair, everything were just an absolute 10 this Season.

*RECAP FOR EPISODE 3286* Stephanie tells Ridge that she will not allow Morgan to drive a wedge between them. Ridge points out that Stephanie forced Morgan to have an abortion and then sent her home. Stephanie insists that she did what was necessary at the time. Ridge can't believe that his mother has no regrets about what she did. He tells Stephanie that she also betrayed him because he was the child's father. When Taylor realizes that Morgan has arranged for them to meet at a fertility clinic, she tries to convince Morgan that she's acting hastily. Morgan insists that she's made up her mind; she's wants to have a baby now. Taylor and Morgan meet with the fertility specialist. Morgan wonders to herself if she can really replace the child that Stephanie stole from her. Thorne tries to explain to Macy why he missed the AA meeting and why Brooke answered his cell phone, but Macy doesn't understand why it was so important for him to be at his mother's party. @@NewYorkNick0607 yes, but it was Taylor who *suggested* the whole idea of do nor in sem i na tion. And now that Morgan is doing _exactly_ what Taylor suggested, Taylor thinks it may not be a good idea?

So much for Stephanie maybe acting differently today (Stephanie's words recently to Morgan) if she would be again in such a situation. She does not really regret that she encouraged Morgan to abort her son's baby and would do it again.
