So for anyone who's seen generation kill, what is the difference from delta in this movie and delta "the reservists" following the force recon guys in GK? I'm not completely military savvy

One’s a company, one is a Spec Ops Force. Company’s can be divided in letters of the phonetic alphabet for identification. For example, Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta, etc.

They are two vastly different organizations and have different missions. Delta has always been about counterterrorism and direct action. Recon is used as a tool of the USMC to gather intelligence, conduct raids in support of combatant commanders, and do some direct action stuff. I would liken them to the Rangers in Afghanistan for our conventional forces. They could be tasked with DA things, but it wasn't necessarily the thing they did best. Delta's DA chops are, to use their motto, "sine pari" (without equal)

Excellent performance, especially from a cinematic foreshadowing scene. Though I thought it noteworthy to mention a passage from Howard E. Wasdin's autobiography: "In _Black Hawk Down,_ he was a large man who wore nice clothes, cooly smoked a cigar, and ridiculed his captors. In reality, although he dressed in semiformal shirt and marcawi, he sniveled. Short, skinny as a broom handle, and shaking like a leaf, Atto looked at Casanova and me like we were the Grim Reaper coming to dispose of him. I almost felt sorry for Atto. Part of me wanted to give him a hug and say "it'll be OK," and part of me wanted to shoot him in the face. "Yeah, this is him," Casanova said. "I don't know," I joked. "Every time we saw him before, he was smiling a big white smile." Casanova looked at the interpreter. "Tell him if he doesn't smile we're going to beat the crap out of him." Before the interpreter could translate, Atto flashed a fake smile. We hadn't realized Atto spoke English. Casanova and I high-fives each other. "That's him!"."

In a book written by General Boykin who was part of Delta and present at this interrogation, he stated that Atto (Otto?) was actually shitting and pissing himself during the interrogation because he was so scared. He wasn't the cool badass they portrayed him to be.

@sebastijanglozinic8630 4 ай бұрын
Well of course Boykin would say that. Boykin is a Christian zealot, whos pride was wounded because Atto ridiculed them on CNN and said that "he was not afraid of the Americans because Allah was protecting him".
