I wouldn't say Salman is a shy guy. I think sometimes he doesn't know how to react to a compliment. He has this childlike quality to him that people like. He does play a shy guy really well though, especially in Hum Saath Saath Hai, you can actually feel his shyness. The film is just okay but compared to Maine Pyar Kya and Hum Aapke Hain Koun, which has the Sooraj and Salman combo, it's not as good but the songs are great. I don't know maybe he is a shy person in real life but hides it well.

Nobody is touching Rajinikanth heights ever be it before him or after him. This man create a subgenre called "Mass" people nowadays don't even know what Mass is they just give all sorts of definitions to that term. Mass is originally Rajni's persona and charisma on screen for example his dialouge delivery, mannerism, body language, the way he wears his sunglasses, the way he walks in slow motion, the way he throws his cigarette in his mouth, the way he fights, the way he does his salute etc. The audience used to watch it and say "That was Mass" at that time there was no such thing called "Mass movies" and Kamal Haasan wasn't doing anything what Rajini was doing because all his films termed as "Class" that's why Kamal's films didn't receive box office success as Rajini films at the time of it's release. The impact of Rajini spread all over India and everyone started immitating him in every industry and here we are today with a subgenre called "Mass" films.
