I let my little brother borrow my Mauser and returned it stuck like this... I was so mad then I found this video and fix it in a second. Thank you.

I've been trying for the past 3 days to reassemble my 98K bolt after making the mistake of having the safety in the fire position when the bolt had been removed from my rifle. After viewing your video it took 3 minutes to fix this problem and get my bolt back to where it should be. Thanks for your help.

Not all superheros wear capes! Countless thanks to you, Sir! I bought my Swede about six years ago at a gun show for about $270. She came with some surplus ammo and a cheap Pronghorn scope. Sometimes it would fire and sometimes it wouldn't. Must be the old ammo, right? Nope. New ammo didn't change a thing. A couple of deployments and several years later I was reunited with it at last. Much to my disappointment until recently I had no idea what a beautiful rifle it was before someone sporterized it. Just switched out the low profile safety and shortened cocking piece for originals and had this very problem. After doing so much research into the issues at hand I inevitably learned a great deal about the history, the cartridge, and about just how great of a rifle I'd come across by accident. Thank you again for your help, Sir. Some much needed range time is in order.

The cocking piece has a groove in it, into which you can insert the rim of a cartridge case and pull the cocking piece reward into the cocked position...then move the safety to the full upright position.

I take pliers and pull the bolt back, which is basically the same thing that you are doing by pressing it down on a table surface.

Some rifles has the safety stuck and their owns can not disassemble and clean the bolt. This video shows how you can disassemble that bolt.
