It does and I’ve had one for a while now and my gf loves it and I’ve shot it out at 350 on a deer and spot on with the 103 gr eld-x going abt 3100 fps.

I certainly enjoy your videos. I can honestly say that i have witnessed some very cool shooting with the 6mm creedmoor. 2 eggs 2 shots at 535 yards. Congrats on the new platform. But darn it if ruger didnt do it again with their new magnum series. 338 lapua. Keep up the good work.

Yeah. I almost wish I had waited. At this point I would trade my 338 LAP savage plus some cash to tryout the ruger. Probably won't but sure tempts me.

I think it will be my next platform. I compared my 6.5 to the 6mm and found the 6mm was deadly up to 700meters. However our hits were higher frequency at much further ranges. Have you had any thoughts on a temp stability test thus far? Im still waiting for the n565 powder to come in so...

I have a 6mm Savage stealth evolution and the throat is really short ... It is wearing quickly and at the risk of getting flamed I use Tubbs TMS to smooth the fire cracking and just Chase the lands. So at the end of the day after I figured out what was going on I am ok with the short throat ... More to erode before it becomes unshootable. Thanks for all your vids ... By the way IMR4831 with the 105 Hornady MATCH, Peterson brass cci #450 has been my load of choice

I caught your first video on the 6mm unboxing and I pushed me to try and find one at the price you were talking and I did. I too found that there wasn't a lot of 6 mm dies out there so I ended up with a Hornady match set. I like the Lee dies especially the collet neck die so I called Lee and asked if they made anything. They told me they don't yet but would make some custom dies for it if you send them one of your fired cases the price really wasn't too bad and I will probably do it in the future. The problem was you had to wait several weeks to have them made so I went ahead with the Hornady dies. I love your channel you do a great job of explaining things I am anxious to see what loads you come up with for the 6mm . I am currently working on the 103 eld-x bullets

I love trying different stuff but an starting more conservative since I don't want to burn out my barrel before I find the load I want to stick with. Might want to try the 115 they are on sale now. Testing is coming.

I was concerned with burning out the barrel too. I thought maybe I would try and search for some cooler burning powders and maybe loads that are at slower nodes to try and save it. I talked to a buddy of mine that builds guns and he says you may save it a little, maybe a couple hundred shots or so but its just the nature of the beast , so just go for the best load you can get. He also told me H4831 SC works great on the 6mm. I did a ladder test with it last Sunday and it looks like it might be promising. Right now the best I have worked up for the 103 eld x is 41.5 grs of Hybrid 100v

Picked up the same rifle after I saw your video for 789 and it has near zero freebore. I think that's why they aren't selling at a higher price. Regardless, this thing shoots. I necked down some 6.5 hornady brass using the Forster benchrest fl die set with Rl16 and found an Uber wide node from 41.2-41.9 (3025-3075fps) that will shoot in the .2s with the 105 Berger vld. 10 thou off the lands for me gives me a cbto of 2.205/coal of 2.780. I also used the half of the tubbs final finish bore lapping kit before I did any loading and it seems to have polished an already decent bore to an excellent finish. Hope you have the same luck I do, very happy regardless of the rifle not following the .183 freebore saami spec.

i had a 6.5 creedmoor i used a 250 savage cases or changed 243 win cases changed to fit the rifle both the 250 savage brass & the 243 win cases the value of the powder! i fixed that i changed barrel( got it used take off barrel) to a 284 x 6.5, i have a 243 win & a 6mm Remington! the twist in the Winchester would handle 100 grain bullets the first 244 Remington had a major problem it was stuck with 90 grain bullets the barrel twist was fixed and the name change to 6mm Remington it will shoot 100 grain or heavier i have not shot over 100 grains! I use lee dies & hand tools plus one to shape the inside of the flash holes on first brass prep! if i need a heavier bullet, i change to a other rifle i have with heavier bullet like 7mm 08 or other heavier type mag it type of hunting I am doing! if a miss the type of bear might eat you!

Good stuff, looking forward to your dtac testing, Tubb has said a true 8 twist will work with that new bullet. If you get a chance, could you measure a few of those and let me now what length the bullet actually is.

Bet the RL26 will launch 115 ? But may not be accurate enough for BRS ?

Awesome video. I'm going to follow this when I load for my 6mm Creed. Question though. I'm new to reloading so forgive me. But the Sinclair mandrel die. Is that an expander mandrel? You said neck turning. Just wondering because I've used an expander mandrel, but haven't ever turned necks. Could I do this process and use an expander mandrel instead for the first couple of firings? Thanks!

Hi Kevin, Glad you enjoyed the video. I really don't recommend neck turning unless required by the chambering of your barrel. I would by far recommend getting better brass before you ever cross that bridge. Not that Lapua is perfect but I think most will struggle to improve much on what you get out of the box. The Sinclair options are mandrels, I believe they have a turning mandrel and a expanding mandrel option if you want a expander .001 or .002" under projectile diameter. if you want to tune it a little bit more 21st century sells them in .005" increments. I have a lot of content on the channel about these things. Also if you are thinking of going with a bushing die (like a Redding S die) check out the bushings from SAC they are way better than any other offering that I have tried. If you have any specific questions don't hesitate to ask. I am not perfect to answer every question, but I try. Sometimes I don't get notified either so if you need to try twice I understand. BAR

@@BoltActionReloading Good information! This process in the video seems alot more simplified than the neck bushing dies. I think I'll FL size and use the expander mandrel at .002 neck tension and see how that goes. If I'm not satisfied then I'll step it up to the redding. Off to watch your other videos! Haha. Thanks!

If you already have a decapper, grind a pin down to fit instead. No need to buy another just to get a small decapping pin. All it needs to do is push the spent primer out, no precision needed.

Great video, novice question, what does a small flash hole on the brass bring than normal size? Looking at getting a 6mm creedmoor and worried about of going down the rabbit hole . Cheers

The thought is more consistent ignition. For a more average shooter (i include myself in this group) it really doesn't make much of a difference Small rifle primer brass tend to last longer though.

Reloader-17 works well too at least for my RPR and with 103 eld x bullets at 150 yards I was getting .87” groups to 1.2” and I’m not the greatest shooter in the world.

I am low on RL-17 at the moment and haven't seen any for like 3 months or so. I have to assume that RL-16 will be similar in performance with better temperature stability. I have lots of RL-16.

Probably a dumb question, what does the size of the flash hole matter? Couldn't you use a flash hole uniforming tool to open it up to the "normal" size and use a normal decaping pin?

People do drill them out, but I wouldn't. Its been some of the best brass for accuracy and SD that I have been able to achieve. If you want to do some research Google Palma primer pocket. Getting a decapping die isn't a big deal, or use Forster dies.
