Bombarral is a charming village in Leiria District, west Portugal. Bombarral is a farming village, located 73 km from Lisbon, about one hour drive. It's well known as a great fruit producer, especially pears, apples, and grapes. The municipality is limited to the north by the municipality of Óbidos, to the northeast by Caldas da Rainha, to the southeast by Cadaval, and to the southwest by Lourinhã. Once a year, in June, the Jazz and Street Food Festival takes place in Mata do Bombarral.
