Can't remember where I saw it now, theory was that the main failing of the Jedi was regarding all emotions as a problem. Fueling yourself with hate has obvious issues, the argument was that love of friends and family is what pushed Luke so high, Vader as well. Basically the Jedi forced themselves to fight with both hands tied behind their back because they were afraid of the other side.

Erza literally sacrificed himself for his family(ghost crew)the whole point of season 3 was him growing as a character and resisting the dark side

The theory goes that when the Jedi last defeated the Sith a thousand years ago, shortly before Yoda was brought to the temple, the Ruusan Reformations (which are in both canons, but Disney canon doesn't specify if they incorporate the Legends aspect that it is when the Jedi began to train children from birth and placed themselves under the Senate and the Chancellor), which the Jedi underwent because they wanted to prevent any possibility that the Sith Order would reform for the umpteenth time, led to them forgetting this teaching over time and was ironically motivated by their _fear_ of the dark side. Iirc they never approved all that much of marriage but this is when they really rejected it as well. There's a cyclical aspect to the older timeline where the Side that is ascendant grows weak as the other grows strong, and I think George probably at least intended the part where the Jedi and the Republic had lost their ways in the 1000 years of peace the Banite Sith _chose_ to give them.

@@vinbin4343 well sure but that side of you will always be there. It doesn't just GO AWAY. And with him being in this new world, you're gonna have to resort to certain measures to survive. I wouldn't be surprised if Ezra had regained some of his snark and attitude from season 1 due to being on the streets and learning to build walls around yourself to protect from getting too close to people. I can see him rationalizing using certain forces to survive. He sacrificed himself yes, but all that was undone because of Sabine's selfishness. You really think he wouldn't go just a LITTLE bit HAM on her for a short bit before storming off to sulk?

Oh absolutely because Filoni's new movie will tie Ahsoka, Mandalorian and Book of Boba Fett all together. They need to end it on a cliffhanger. I can see that cliffhanger being Thrawn arriving to the galaxy we know and love. And Filoni's movie will be about defeating him.

Agreed! Ezra always had the best intentions no matter what. I just really hope he doesn't use the night sister magic, he should know from his experience with it in rebels that it always comes at a cost

I suspect worst treatment of the character than just undoing his arc. I fully believe Filoni is going to kill Ezra within the next two episodes due to the line "I can't wait to go home" which is one big death flag to give him, and then Sabine will take his lightsaber from his corpse and replace him like the series has been teasing all season. I suspect they brought Ezra back just to kill him and have his sacrifice be meaningless.

I don't think he beats out the likes of Windu or Yoda, but definitely. His understanding is far beyond that of a normal master, mainly because he isn't afraid to dabble in the dark side.

He isn't dark or "confused"; it's just fans always wanting to find some angle. They pulled this with Marrok, hypothesizing that he's this person or that person. Turns out he wasn't any person.

Him rejecting the dark side was his depth and character arc. It suits him a lot better than the dark side.

@@alexism9656 I think Rey could potentially bring that into question again though. Her new movie will be about questioning the validity of the Jedi, and the Jedi will be "thrown into Chaos." with things being 15 years from Rise of Skywalker. There's a lot that can happen in that span of time. With the director of it being the person who helmed Ms Marvel, which did a pretty decent job at deconstructing what it mean to be a young superhero, I think the film could potentially reopen that door. Especially given her lineage. ngl though I thought the title "Rise of Skywalker" meant that the film would end with Rey and Ben being known as "Skywalkers" like a new form of Jedi who aren't JEDI but just force users who are neither good or bad but just use both when necessary. But I get what they were going for with her taking on the Skywalker mantel. Found family is HUGE in Star Wars after all. We REALLY only see that THROUGH Ezra throughout Rebels. Most notably, when he controlled those beasts to go after the GI and Kanan looked....more than perturbed to say the least. Even saying "no." in despair. And it was interesting to note too that Ezra said he felt "cold" after using the dark side and that they both described Vader/Anakin as "cold" when they sensed him through the force. I would love a project that truly explore this type of aspect of the force.

@@TheRibottoStudios Yeah I'm really hoping the new movies can do better. Honestly the sequel movies are the only thing I actually don't like from Star Wars. Mostly because of how hard they dropped the ball. It's hard to imagine that they'd mess up that bad again.

@@iwearLingerie It’s really just some harmless speculation. I was just looking at it from a film colour language angle & having fun making theories. Your idea has just as much validity and it’s fun to share ideas on what the authorial intent is in a piece of media you enjoy. Sometimes the curtains represent the depression of a character and other times they’re just f*cking blue. So the red may have deeper meaning it might not, but it’s really fun to think about the possibilities.

Nah Kanan is dead… Right before he died and became one with the force, he was granted one final wish. He wished to see his true love one final time before he passed. We’re not gonna see him come back from the dead. The most we could hope to get is Ezra seeking guidance from Kanan and Kanan comes back briefly as a force ghost to give ezra guidance.

Thrawn can´t collect anything from kanan, he died in another galaxy.

he probably has the technical knowledge to keep it running and fueled. He just doesn't have the jump range to make it back to the other galaxy.

Youll notice when Thrawns ship comes into view, his 3 Main engines are all turned off and is only using i think 3/4 smaller engines. So I'd believe that Thrawn landed the ship in the state it was in and had to use whatever resources he found, which happened to be the gold they found on the planet and used some sort of method to melt and create structures with it in order to patch vital parts of the ship. Thrawn wouldnt really have any reason to leave the planet or the system and would have probably made the smart decision of touching down - I dont think they would even be able to jump into hyperspace due to all the breaches they had without risking tearing the hull even more.

Hes literally living next to where Thrawn is, it would be so lame to find out that this was just an error in writing
