for 21 years this has been my favorite tune ....it does something to ones heart. it brings nostalgia, melancholy, and the pain of yearning. Salute to Rahman Saab for the tune and Naveen Sir for playing it in such a beautiful way.

Actually, RAHMAN gets appreciation for this tune but the composer is Naveen.

While ARRs genius is talked about in this composition, I don't think it can be what it is without Naveen's interpretation of this on the flute. The intricacy of each phrase is just too good to have come from a keyboard. The tune itself is folksy, but the flautist just elevates this to a different level.

I think we need to credit Naveen more for this than the composer himself. The tune is a beautiful folk tune, but nothing new. But the intricacies on the flute just elevates this to a different level.
