Even though I’m not that old (41), mom of three amazing kids (10,8,5 year olds) unfortunately I’m dying from cancer and this song reminds me how well I’ve lived my life and how your music was always part of it, since I heard you for the first time back in the 80s when I was barely 11 years old. When I was diagnosed my kids where (6y, 4 & 13mo). It has been a pleasure to watch you age so gracefully, I feel proud to have been a fan of yours just because you were never a low and controversial artist, and you were able to show the world you survived fame and family. Thank you for being the best. ❤️ Update: wrote an update down below, on the 4th of Feb, 2021 for those who have been asking, to thank you all, to say I’m fighting this thing with all my might and with the strong conviction of never giving up. I also wanted to sort out the confusion that some think I’m a man, so for the record I’m not a guy 😄

@@JDP319 WHEN JON RELEASED BLAZE OF GLORY HIS FIRST NO BON JOVI DISCO, EITHER JON OR BON JOVI IS THE SAME! RICHIE FEELS A BUCKET OF COLD WATER THROWN HIM .... JON'S FIRST EX MANAGER GATHERED THE GROUP FOR A CONCERT TOKYO 1991 NEW YEARS DAY ..... RICHIE TOLD BONGIOVI THIS BECAUSE JON TAKEN THE CONTROL NEVER RETURNED THE SAME BECAUSE JON IS THE MAN OF EVOLUTION .... BECAUSE JON YOU THE PRODUCERS PREFER YOU TO NOT ME ..... I HAVE 50 PERCENT AUTHORITY OF THE SONGS INCREASE ME DOUBLE MY SALARY BECAUSE I'M THE ONE WHO HELPS YOU WITH THE SONGS ... I MUST TELL YOU THAT JON SINCE 1991 KNEW PHIL XENIDIS THROUGH ALDO NOVA AND RANDY COVEN AND THEY MADE A TOUR TOGETHER BECAUSE HE PRODUCED ALDO NOVA AN DISC, BESIDE BILLY FALCON ALSO, BECAUSE JON INTRODUCED PHIL TO DAVID, TICO ... AND NEVER TO RICHIE ... THE LAST TIME JON SAW PHIL X WAS IN 1993 ..... GOING BACK WITH RICHIE AFTER THESE DAYS OR BEFORE THAT RICHIE HE WOULD START LOSING INTEREST IN WHAT HE WANTED TO BE? FOR EXAMPLE HEARTS BREAKING EVEN JON WRITES IT BECAUSE RICHIE ASKED HIM PERMISSION TO BE WITH HEATHER LOCKEAR THAT SHE WAS MUCH MISSING AND BOSS GAVE HIM PERMISSION ..... WHEN JON STARTED MAKING FILMS AND RECEIVING GLOBAL NAMES, OR ... CHARITY EVENTS THAT MADE RICHIE FEEL AND I WAS WORTH, RICHIE PUBLISHED TWO GOOD OR LESS REGULAR DISCS AND THEY WERE NOT EXISTING ..... JON NEVER WAS IMPRESSED BY HEATHER LOCKEAR AND RICHIE AND HE KNEW THAT IT COULD HAPPEN A DISASTER HE SAID IN 1997 ..... WHEN JON WRITTEN THE SONG IT'S MY LIFE PASSES THE LYRICS TO RICHIE AND THE OVERWHELMED WHO IS FRANKIE IS FRANK SINATRA, WHO WILL CARE ABOUT YOUR SONG ... I DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR SONG .... YOU CAN SEARCH CRUSH TOUR ON KZfaq OR ITS MY LIFE RECORDING ON KZfaq YOU WILL SEE HOW JON WAS ANNOYING AT THE SAME TIME YOU WILL SEE RICHIE HOW JON SEE TO TAKE THE PRODUCTION OF THE DISC SERIOUSLY THE SAME HAPPENED WITH BOUNCE THE DOCUMENTARY YOU WILL SEE RICHIE THE SAME EXPRESSIONS .. ..OF TOURING IN 2000 RICHIE WAS STILL GOOD NOT TO THAT SPARK OF TIMES IS TO SAY HE WOULD START CUTTING THE GUITAR SOLOS AND DRESSING LIKE ALLMAN BROTHERS OR STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN TO WEAR RIDICULOUS HATS ..... OR THE TIME THEY WERE IN A PROGRAM IN MEXICO 2002 WHERE THE BAND ANSWERED ABOUT RICHIE WHO USED TO PARTY WITH WOMEN AND IS MARRIED AND HAS A DAUGHTER, UNTIL 2005 CAME WHERE HE HURT HIS ARM AND FOR NOT SUPPORTING THE BANDAGE HE STARTED DRINKING ALCOHOL WITH PILLS, AND THEN LEFT IT UNTIL AT THE END OF 2005 THE UNEXPECTED CAME UP ... HEATHER LOCKEAR DISCOVERED AN EMAIL WHERE RICHIE HAD RELATIONSHIPS WITH HER SECRETARY BEST FRIEND ... SHE ASKED FOR DIVORCE. ON THE OTHER HAND, RICHIE'S FATHER DIED FROM CANCER THAT SAME YEAR ..... HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH DENISSE RICHARDS WOULDN'T WORK VERY WELL, FOR EXAMPLE LOST HIGWHAY WAS AN DISC THAT JON NEITHER HAD PLANNED TO RECORD, HE WOULD NOT HAVE DISCOVERED THE DISASTER TO COME .... ON LOST HIGHWAY TOUR 2008 JON GAVE SEVERAL SOLOS TO BOBBY BANDIERA BECAUSE MR HAT WAS PLAYING VERY BAD OR WAS DOING IT ON PURPOSE WHAT JON WAS ALREADY BORED OF RICHIE, IT CAN BE SEEN IN THE DOCUMENTARY WHEN WERE BEATIFUL WHERE RICHIE SAID THAT HE DID NOT HAVE THE STRENGTH TO FACE HIS PROBLEMS OR HAD SAID IN 2007 THE ALCOHOL MY GREAT ENEMY .... I WILL NEVER DRINK MORE ...... WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF RICHIE HAD STAYED .... .. EVERYTHING WOULD HAVE GONE TO THE DRIFT BECAUSE WE CAN TOUR WOULD HAVE BEEN A DISASTER .. IT WOULD BE OVER. When jon passes, it's gonna be a fucking sad day for me (and i'm sure a lot of others) all our gods are getting on their way Jon and bon jovi, including Richie Kiss ACDC Metallica the big 4 and i can't help but wonder , what the fuck is the world gonna be left with in around 40 years. Justin fucking bieber and Lil fucking wayne and then these kids who are the generation after those artists WHO HAVE NEVER BEEN EXPOSED TO ANYTHING DECENT What the fuck are they going to amount to and what are they going to produce musically if they decide to become artists Seriously, to quote THE BREAKFAST CLUB now.. this is the thought that wakes me up in the night LOL i dread the day mate, i dread the day

@@martinkuliza Don't worry too much, I'm 17 and was raised on Bon Jovi as well as many older bands. I know people my age who also love Jon, AC/DC and plenty of other older bands. Although his popularity may diminish he won't die completely. There are still modern artists popping up that are as good as the older ones however they are often obscured but they're there if you look hard enough. Personally, I'm busy rediscovering songs from my childhood like I only recently heard "Pour some sugar on me" despite knowing the name Def Leppard my whole life

@@faceless1434 tha'ts the way mate, i'm proud of you little dude, Pour some sugar on me, huh, way to go mate. as for DONT' WORRY TOO MUCH haha i don't even worry to begin with, let alone, MUCH or TOO MUCH. lesson... Worrying is a WASTE OF TIME, don't waste your time in life. Now... it sounds you like have very intelliigent parents, they gave you a decent and proper upbringing Bon Jovi, ACDC, maybe even a bit of a KISS they taught the metal salute \m/ haha and you see, what you have now... YOU HAVE RESPECT from our generation and kids today don't get it let me test you a bit since you said you know def leppard How about Pink Floyd, another brick in the wall, Dark side of the moon, any of that ring a bell How about Poision, Unskinny bop or look what the cat dragged in or fallen angel any of those ring a bell as for growing up with bon jovi, ok little dude here is a question Question 1. do any of these songs ring a bell Roulette she don't know me Shot through the heart anything ??? Ok, so... to call yourself a true fan you need to know what these are Question 2. Do you know the difference between SHOT THROUGH THE HEART and YOU GIVE LOVE A BAD NAME ??? can't call yourself a true fan if you don't now.. i understand your disability of being 17 and that's fine, but i think your parents would agree that it's our responsibility to educate you little guys so... you gotta know this stuff if you want to be a true fan, ok i mean , what album did you even come in on, was it WHAT ABOUT NOW.. BURNING BRIDGES haha... what ? fuck man, , bon jovi started in 83 ok, and i was 10 years old and proud to say i was there from the beginning Still god my first album , Bon jovi = Bon Jovi sorry to go off on a tangent, but .. you're just kinda spinning me out a bit haha as for musicians of today yeah... i've looked, there are some Eminem, Delta Goodrem, Evanescence but the sad thing is , there are not many. in our day .. TRUTH BE TOLD, and you can ask your parents what we accepted as normal was this.... Our choices basically were Awesome... fucking awesome, really good but not awesome and that was basically it every now and then and it was rare, you got 1 and i mean 1 that was shit but let's look our choice Bon Jovi, Awesome Poision, Awesome Skid row, Awesome Metallica, fucking awesome megadeth fucking awesome Mortal sin Awesome Iron maiden, fucking gods led zeppelin, fucking gods Debbie Gibson really good Samantha fox... every guy want to fuck her (ask your dad haha but don't tell your mum) was her music good, no not really but there were a few songs that were VERY GOOD i think we have 2 shameful things in our days that we would rather forget and i'm gonna speak the words THEN NEVER SPEAK OF IT AGAIN RICK ASTLEY HANSON and, don't ask me to repeat it so you see what our choice was and since there was so much awesome around us, WE ACCEPTED IT AS NORMAL. so you can understand today when we get shit like mumble rap hip hop that isn't really hip hop anymore musicians that can't even make up original songs you can understand how boring is it for us, THERE'S NOTHING NEW ANYMORE Live bands are a thing of the past, we used to go out on a saturday or sunday night and watch live bands THAT WE NEVER HEARD OF i remember watching , once upon a time and the Metro in sydney THE POOR, had no fucking idea who they were, they had a song called MORE WINE WAITER PLEASE, then around 1 month later they are on video hits, which wa a show that we watched, it was a music show and i was like.. yeah i saw them and ... R.I.P. we have THE FUCKING BALL THE HEADBANGERS BALLS this was our fucking show until the pricks cancelled it again, ask your parents Everyone watched THE BALL anyway be cool little dude keep listening and ROCK ON and remember , work hard, be good to your mother , listen to heavy metal and hard rock and worship satan haha WORDS TO LIFE BY MY FRIEND if that last bit threw you a bit heads up it was a joke we had back in the day haha ask your parents

And you may say everything you want but what is really brought me to be in love with metal was Dio. Queen are one of the greatest rock bands. To be honest I don’t understand why everyone is being so negative about this, saying it’s hard to see him now, singing this song so differently and referencing it to him being older now. I mean look at this man. He is not even 60 years old and to me he doesn’t seem like an old, broken man who is about to die any day now. He still looks so damn good. If he were to dye his hair, you wouldn’t even think that he is 58. His voice is different today, yes, but even that could be repaired if he seriously wanted to. In my opinion, this man is at the peak of his life and he has many, many more happy and successful years to come. I don’t like looking at it like he’s a walking dead man. He is still more attractive and charismatic than 99% of the „young“ men these days. This is an entirely different version of the song, but I’d like to see it as a calmer and more grown up version, than the original one. Love the song, love the band, love the man.

I think this version is so good, deep, full of a live´experience. The meaning of the words are so much stronger now he lived (a part) of his life. Love the voice too. Love him as a singer and as a human being.

Couldn't agree more! Its irrational to think that 20 years after wouldn't change his appearance or voice. I wish i could be as healthy as him if i reach 60 years old!

Such a genius he knows that he doesn’t have the voice for the original so he changed the energy of the song to sound more like an end of a great movie rather then it being the intro to a thriller One of the greatest talents of his generation that knows his strengths and weaknesses and adapts is what every older singers wishes they could do ❤

His voice has aged, sure, but mainly, he blew out his voice years ago because of poor singing technique. I think it was during the slippery when wet tour. By contrast, listen to Bruce Dickinson of iron maiden. He sings as well as ever and still hits all the high notes. Not really trying to criticize, just make an observation.

Very sad indeed, the band hasn’t been the same since he left. Hate to say it but I lost interest after lost Highway. Still love everything before that though, and thankfully live in Australia where they are still rocking the radio 👍
