A. Keinath I met him recently on the Runaway to Paradise Cruise to the Caribbean...the man may not be 21 years old anymore but he still commands and wows a crowd. I was honored to have met him he is humble and down to earth...he’s now an aging man with grey hair but I will forever be a dedicated fan that will give him the love and respect for all his years of love and touring sacrifice that he has made for 36 plus years for all of us!! After all sir none of us stay 21 forever and with age comes wisdom, and like a good marriage you take the ups with the downs and just because Jon is aging gracefully like the rest of us doesn’t mean we’d toss him out for the next pretty face. There’s something to be said for a fine glass of aged wine. ❤️

You can tell Jon doesn't like preforming as much now that Richie is gone. I think the reason why he continues to do so is his loyalty to his fans and to the people he cuts a paycheck for. Otherwise to me it seems his passion left when Richie left and it has affected him as a preformer. That said, he still puts on a great show.

Many saying that he no longer has the same voice, obviously he no longer has the same voice, but it is worth remembering that other legends reached that age with no voice at all. So we agreed that he was born with a voice stock sufficient for his whole life, not only that, he took care of her. He is still loved and admired by everyone and always will be.

I've was in a band as lead vocalist back in the 90s. We didn't have huge shows or very big tours but we had some great shows and even an europe tour. I must say that singing for more than 2 hours is really difficult and not a lot of people can do it. After 1hour and 30 minutes of singing rock yoir voice starts feeling weak and the power in it simply dissapears. Singing the high notes become harder and harder. The next morning after the show you can barely speak. It's imposible for a singer to sing the same as when he was young and believe me i know what i's saying. For those who say john can't sing anymore or that his concerts after 2013 became a shitty experience just try to sing for a month 2 hours daily. You will see how hard is it. Also during a concert you can't use the studio vocal techniques because you have to be sure that your voice will resist for 2 hours. Many singers don't push their voice at the limit in the concerts so they can finish it. They can do better but they choose not to destroy their voice. Next time you say Jon's voice is horrible try to do a concert with his music and see if you can sing like him. (You won't)

He is a great singer also today, and he did very really beautiful songs, but also today he still makes nice songs ! What an amazing video. I've been a huge Bon Jovi fan for 33 years and I hate to say this, but Jon's voice has seriously changed. It's becoming weaker and flatter. I last saw them live in 2013 and they were fab as always, but this year, 2019, it seems all the spark and energy has gone. He's mostly holding on to the mic stand, no more running around the stage. Even the huge stage set ups have gone.(Anyone remember the fabulous Blue Buick car from 2013 Tour?) Jon, take a long break, rest your voice man, then come back in a couple of years shining. You'll always be my favourite group ever!

@ajw1727
@ajw1727 5 жыл бұрын
YTOnceAgain Yeah that’s a very fair point, I think the difference between 12-13 is so hugely jarring because of that disparity in recording quality. However, if you use the recent performance of It’s My Life on the official Bon Jovi channel as a comparison point (great quality) the result isn’t far off. They just lost so much of their sound when Richie left. You can’t hear it in this video because it runs chronologically but Phil X’s talkbox work sounds particularly thin compared to Richie.

Alex Whitaker I think Jon misses Richie alot vocally also Richies guitar playing is phenomenal, Phil X is an amazing guitarist but you can't replace Richie, having said that I was at Wembley a few weeks ago and loved every minute of it

So agree with you. Something happened in his mind. The stress or dont know what made something on JONS and His voice change after that. I think the age wasnt the most important thing that cause that

I hate to admit it, but I never gave Richie the credit he deserved. I’ve seen every tour for 30 years and the last two tours showed me how spoiled we have been for 30 plus years. Still my favorite band of all time, but there is no hiding the change. That being said, I’ll pony-up my $200 next time and enjoy the 2.5 - 3 hours of whatever they show up with! Cheers

I think he sounds amazing! He’s damned near 60 years old and sounds better than a lot of rockers who strained their voices beyond limits. Besides, he’s philanthropic, has done so much for veterans, and doesn’t get involved in politics. Sounds like music to my ears.
