I really want to try one of these out. I currently have a crescent lite tackle and I love it. I do a lot of inshore fishing with it. Originally I was looking at one of these but the lite tackle won me over for the price point and how well it paddles. I can be going at a steady pace with all of my fishing gear at about 3-3.5mph depending on the wind. I can keep up with my girlfriend in her old town sportsman PDL. This kayak seems like it would be an upgrade in terms of features but I'm worried about how much more work I'll have to put in for paddling. Hopefully I'll get to try one out at some point. Great videos like always. I know this one is old. Your info helped me pick the Lite Tackle as my first kayak. Keep it up.

Hello, I'm 5'5 and looking into getting this kayak, the bonafide. How long of a paddle would you recommend? I was looking into the Backwater Paddles, Assassin Carbon fiber, something retractable and tough for river fishing.

Noticed a lot of guys selling there's after a couple weeks of purchasing one not sure what's up with that and they are always for sale on craigslist.

Does your rear handle get blocked by a rudder? Everything else seems brilliant.

sorry i posted this on another video LOVE your videos by the way!! i can get 2 bonafide kayaks (ss127 and ss107 ) USED for 1500. they look online like they are in great condition. is there anything i should look for when i go to look them over? ( first time kayak buyer) its a 3 hr. drive to see them. he lives on the ocean. i will be using on lakes and rivers. its for me and my wife.

Do you know if Bonafide is going to fix the seat mid year? My friends and I found it brutal on our hip bones. They need to put the two support tubes further apart by two inches or pull them closer together. They hit right on the bone!

Question- been debating sit in and sit on. Like the Bonafide ex123 and this one. How does this one paddle? If I’m not out fishing and just want to paddle one day or with friends-is this a lot of work to just cruise?

I noticed under the removable center console has a through hull port. Would this be for a current or future pedal drive system?

Only thing missing is a pedal drive otherwise I wouldn’t think twice.

Hull looks stable but slow.

Inexcusable to not be rudder ready/plumbed.

I love "95%" of everything about the Bonafide SS127........But I have to be honest.......those "perch pads" are more of a gimmick than anything else. I have a great sense of balance, and I've already seen others demonstrate using those perch pads. It's just not a practical maneuver at all. Now imagine you've got the fish of a lifetime hooked up, and you're on those perch pads. ESPECIALLY bigger game like tarpon. Seriously, what are ya going to do on those perch pads. Ya can't "easily" dismount, and the seat is right there to fumble over. Most unusable, impractical "elevated fishing platform" I've ever seen. Other than that, the boat is killer, with lots of great features. If a guy needs to be elevated that bad, he'd be much better off just packing along a 2 x10 board just long enough to straddle the gunnels in FRONT of the seat, and glue rubber padding to the bottom of the board so it doesn't slide on the gunnels. Then just stow the board anywhere out of the way when not in use. You could do that with several of the more stable yaks.
