You can't go wrong for those prices. Most restaurants charge like $15 for a big salad...and all those extras are included besides your main meal. WOW!

Learned something new from this video. Did not know that Dan Blocker who played Hoss was responsible for establishing the Bonanza chain. Sure wish the Bonanza restaurants would make a comeback. Used to go here years ago and always enjoyed a good meal. We need more family oriented restaurants! Thanks for sharing.

We do too! Much more reasonably priced than most restaurants. My chicken was outstanding! We all enjoyed our meals. Definitely a good deal and a nice atmosphere.

Bonanza!!!!! This brings back some great memories from my childhood. We had a Bonanza in my hometown. It closed back in the late 80's. I have not seen a Bonanza in over 30 years. I always liked the ribeye steak there and the Texas Toast! You found a real relic form the past.😁

This was the second Bonanza we visited. We also went to the Bonanza in Chambersburg, PA. You are right, it brings back lots of childhood memories. Miss places like this!

This brings back so many great memories. We haven't been to a Bonanza since the late 80s or early 90s. The kids' buffet prices were amazing, but then again, all of the prices on the menu looked very reasonable. It's great to see that this one is still hanging around and it's ard to believe that the company has dwindled down to only 3 locations. The food looked really good and fresh; especially served in the stainless steel Bonanza trays. It's great to see the NC Memory Makers also joining y'all. Thanks for sharing another excellent review.

The prices were definitely reasonable and the food was delicious! We enjoyed being able to eat at a Bonanza again. I hate that so many affordable restaurants are no longer in existence. It’s always great to reminisce about the good ole days. Hope y’all are having a fabulous weekend.

What a great video. It brings back memories of when Bonanza was here in Texas. They had the all you can eat salad bar. What amazed me is the fact that people would go back and forth to the salad bar, and by the time their entree came, they were too full of salad to eat it. I only want one small salad, and then my ribeye steak entree.

I am in complete agreement with you. Enjoy the entree and not fill up before it arrives. The waitress did tell us that some people take their entree home and eat the food bar while there. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Y’all just took me back to my childhood ! Memory lane when life was good and all was right in my world . My parents would take us every Sunday to Norton Va a 20 minute drive from my home place back In Ky .. we had a Food Lion there we would eat I would get the Hamburger steak and bar . I loved the toast in Norton they grilled both sides .. we would go to Bonanza every special event or celebration too . Lots of memories . Thanks I wished I could of met y’all and ate sorry maybe I can next time . Thanks for such a good review . We use to eat at Golden Corral back in the day when you actually ordered off of a menu. Now we are like where do you want to eat today/tonight? It was a treat to eat out back in the day too. I absolutely remember going to Bonanza when I was a kid. I think Ponderosa was in our town a little longer actually 😊. This was a fun review with some amazing nostalgia 👍😍. Great job and thanks for taking us along!

We had a Bonanza in Lynchburg, VA which is about 25 minutes from us. We didn't have a Ponderosa near us. The experience took us on a walk down memory lane. The food was good and the prices were reasonable. Appreciate you!

You will enjoy it! As you probably noticed, you don't have to pay extra for the buffet here. We were pleased with our meal and the buffet here. The manager of the Bonanza confirmed that the Bonanza in Chambersburg use to be a Ryan's. That is what David and I thought it looked like. We are good. Hope y'all are too!

Cool! We have actually done a few collabs with NCMemoryMakers. We always have a great time when we meet up with them. Bonanza is restaurant that was popular in the 70's and 80's. There used to be lots of locations in the U.S.A. It's sister restaurant is/was Ponderosa Restaurant. There are just a few of them left now too. Thanks for watching!

There used to be a Bonanza in Lynchburg years ago on Wards Road. It was across from KMart (Hobby Lobby now). Definitely good food at a reasonable price.

im just now catching up, and seeing your video as we are still unpacking, from our move, and omg do out feet hurt, but we got a lot done. this rental, like the last two, needed blinds. there were NO window coverings, so we got about 1/2 of them up and i put dark plastic over the rest for now, lol. ok, now to the video.. 😊

I went with my family to Bonanza that was near us when I was a young kid and there was a Ponderosa right near it that that we went to also was open at the same time for awhile. They were in a small city called Steubenville, Ohio and the Bonanza there closed around 1990 but the Ponderosa was open until around 2003 then there was a fire there and then they closed down. They had a buffet with plenty of good food before they closed with good prices. I still miss both of those restaurants and the Ponderosa became a Japanese food restaurant after it closed that's still open but I've never eaten there yet since that restaurant's been in the building.

It's unfortunate that so many of these restaurants closed. It seems like everyone has fond memories of eating at Bonanza. The prices and selection are definitely good. I miss Bonanza, Ponderosa, Ryan's Western Sizzlin, York, etc. All great value-oriented family-friendly restaurants. Ryan's is completely gone. And the others are hanging by a thread, it seems.

They have 2 bonanza restaurants in Pennsylvania still and 1 ponderosa the one bonanza is in a place called Chambersburg pa off of interstate 81 the other one is in upstate Pennsylvania along interstate 80 between Williamsport pa and wilkes barre Scranton pa and the ponderosa restaurant is in a place called butler pa about an hour away from Pittsburgh pa

It's definitely a good deal. Our meals were $16.99 each. We really enjoyed our meal. You have to really be hungry to eat much off of the buffet if you order a meal. The waitress was telling us that some people will take their meal to go and eat off of the buffet. Thanks for watching and commenting.

We know. We tried to use the Bonanza music but got a copyright so couldn't use it. We were disappointed not to be able to use it. So we found some western music.
