this is very common in asian cultures (i know atleast in Korea most people have 2 fridges. one just for their pickled foods) i now know why after making some, my roommates complained alot about the smell lol

Yeah lol every other Asian I knew had a second fridge (usually in the garage) for stinky foods. Like pickled vegetables, kimchi, leftover stock, meat, just stuff that would either take up too much space in the regular fridge or stink it up

Ashley Bui I'm Filipino and all our stinky food actually just go into a cabinet, including like dozens of different bottles of vinegars, fish sauces and other fermented sauces. We usually only have two jars of pickles (one papaya and one bitter melon) that just go in the fridge.

Things I learned today: - Molly and Carla genders their fridge - Chris uses the word "slaps" and has a cat with an amazing name - Christina's freezer is a dead topic - Both alcoholic beverages and snacks are in high demand, but you knew that already - Sohla has an abundance of oysters and I envy her for it Bon Appétit are doing an amazing job, both on and behind the scenes to keep us updated and making this as fun as possible, And I'm really happy this channel exists.

I just want you all to know how much I and everyone else deeply appreciates y'all continuing to make content (though, yes, I realize it is your jobs). Every single one of y'all have very distinct personalities and incredibly distracting (in a good way) content. It's super comforting to have this almost friendship between you guys and the audience through this "vlogging" and a comforting amount of kitchen jealousy!!!

Chris' kitchen made him so relatable. I had a hard time connecting to him and now I totally get it. I feel his struggle. We give up a lot for our kids. His spice drawers is his space like my baking cupboard is mine. You do your best with what yo have and then your kids destroy it. Because they're kids and that's ok cause the world wont end.
