If you check on my video, I mostly use a Tulip Crochet Hook. I have many kind of crochet hooks, but this is the hook that I use the most. If you are a beginner and you only want to buy 1 crochet hook, I recommend you to buy Tulip Etimo Rose Crochet Hook, 5/3mm as a start. From my experience, this hook size suit with yarn weight 1 to 3. ABBREVIATIONS (US Crochet Terms)
st(s): stitch(es)
sl st: slip stitch
ch: chain
sc: single crochet
inc: increase (make 2 sc in the same space)
dec: decrease (sc2tog) - use Invisible Decrease for better result. Using invisible decrease (dec) instead of sc2tog is very recommended when making amigurumi; you can't even tell that the stitches are decreasing.

I crocheted my sister a big red dog. My golden retriever loves it. Tried to grab it, but when told not to touch, he sat and stared at it. So I made him a sparkly red bone using your tutorial. He absolutely loved it! But his nature is to destroy his toys. They usually last about 3-15 minutes. I doubled my yarn (#4 weight) and used a 4.5 hook. Then I used non run pantyhose to put the stuffing in before I put it in the bone. I wanted to test to see how long it would take him to destroy it. Almost a whole hour. Chewed one end off and got ahold of the panty hose. Boy did he have a blast snapping those hose. he still loves his bone, the big piece anyway. He carries it around like a puppy. My hands are killing me, but it was worth it to see him with this bone. Thanks a lot for the tutorial. I might try it again once my hands stop hurting, but next time I think I'll try 1mm cord.

I made mine with 2 wt and an E hook so it would be smaller. I added eyes and some facial features. I will be gifting it to my Orthopedic surgeon. He did a great job fixing my broken ankle!!

Will this work good for a pit? We can't keep toys for him because he rips them apart in less than 5 minutes. I'd love to make this for him but wanna make sure it will last longer than 5 minutes lol

I dont know. Never think about it. Maybe you can make it from stronger material, like polyester yarn to make it last longer :)

hey can you explain more about the curve you’re talking about? i think i have the same problem but i’m not sure because i’m not done with it yet (still 90%)
