Hey cgb. I’ve been doing some standard nonsense with Voldaren epicure, Third path iconoclast and new Zoetic Glyph turning the blood token into a 5/4 with when it dies discover 3. I haven’t seen anyone else do it yet but I know you could build it much better then I can and absolutely out agro the red decks and have card advantage to boot. Thalia has been holding me back from mythic though.

Pia relies on a lot of exile draw. You dont want to be exiling 5 mana plays tbh because its very often going to be going down the bin.

@@jojodelacroix true, but the naya/boros Pia deck lacks a decent top end that isn't buffing a wide field, which folds to the first sweeper it see's. Dino dragon gives mad card advantage potential and is a viable wall against anything short of atraxa and etali, surely worth a couple in that deck minimum, sure it's a bad hit off of an impulse draw but it may be worth it.

Lol that last match. Control player too scared to take any damage and keeps sunfalling to 1 for 1 without a real win condition (well, slow milling but they dont seem to realize that means you have to survive a long game). Love to see it.

Man... Played against Mc_Fly on my way up in Platinum and believe it or not they've gotten better - when I played against them they roped almost every single turn! The only reason a computer didn't get smashed it's because I ended up winning. Man would I have been pissed if I waited around like that to lose 😂.

Yeah, it's sad that red's whole color identity in standard playable cards has been reduced to the all haste creatures deck. Previously fable gave a good reason to run red mana, but it really kneecaps the ability of rakdos to be a thing in standard. Oh well, it's still broken in every other format so whatever

You know, creatures like Decadent Dragon that make treasure tokens when they attack are *technically* mana dorks. I only just realized this, and it amuses me.

Meh, generally mana dorks are dorks because they don't do much else besides make the mana. I wouldn't quite put Dragon in that category... Goldspan dragon either for that matter.
