I'm watching the show for the first time. Why didn't they keep this complete scene in the episode? It made no sense that she would pass him a chewing gum with their lips closed all the way. And Caroline's reaction made no sense whatsoever with their chaste kiss. This is such a better scene! Love it!

The writers of the show are terrible when it comes to steamy scenes between these two. They didn’t have to cut this scene. Like at all. And it made no sense that she was in awe of their kiss when the kiss really wasn’t shit and I was so confused. But now I know why. They cut out the WOW part of their kiss 🙄
