Boneset (Eupatorium perfoliatum) is a perennial member of the Asteraceae family. In this video, I describe its key identifying characteristics, medicinal benefits based on scientific research, how to make infusions and tinctures, and a whole lot more. Enjoy!

As an RN I cannot agree with you more regarding the financial drive of the current medical monopoly that strives to impoverish Americans. What you do is a great service to mankind. May I suggest you put this information in a book so if the access to Internet is ever disrupted, it will be available for use. Thank you again.

Yes the medical industry is just that , an industry. Like all industries their main concern is maximising profits, that's why doctor treat the symptoms but not the underlying illness. This boneset plant sounds a lot like the comfrey herb, The word comfrey means bonenit in anglo-saxon. I have used organic comfrey ointment many times with great success.

Something about, healing a thin membrane around bone, and Calcium. Also used same mush made from Comfrey, 2x daily. It helped speed recovery along with Ultra Boneup. I'm so glad I came across your site. I live in South Carolina in a small 2 lite town. My land has a spring fed creek running thru it and I have a huge hill behind me. I have been learning plants on my land and harvesting, drying and making tea. I have wild ginger, plantain broad and narrow, blk berries, black cohosh, violet's, Smilex, curly leaf dock, cleavers, Chickweed, henbit, purple deadhead nettle, passion flower, purslane, American beauty berry, elderberry, wild lettuce, allheal or self-heal, milk thistle, milk weed. There are more that I haven't identified. I think I have golden seal. If that's the one that grows up as a short stalk. Your enthusiasm shines thru with every video you do. It's nice to see someone appreciate nature and see the value of it and we are all connected to it. The creator of earth is very pleased too.

I love how passionate you are about this. Having harvested abundant amounts of mushrooms this year, I find the sensation ( as does the my landlady with whom I shared them), very much like my first purchase of Bitcoin. I am not kidding, I get a intense sense of freedom when I harvest from the land. I also sense a deeper connection to the land that mere gardening doesn't quite provide. Keep teaching, we are learning at different paces.

Thanks for the kind words. I ingest boneset in tincture form sublingually. I only typically use this medicine when I feel I may be acquiring some acute illness or infection. In these instances, I'll usually consume several milliliters (full squirts of a tincture bottle) per day.

I agree - we shouldn't lose the technical terms - it would be great if we all could be using the same term - but I know distance and time causes a slip in the precise way to call any plant - so the scientific classification can act as a safety net :)

My father kept this stuff around and he would harvest it each year while ginseng hunting. It is probably the worst tasting stuff I've ever put into my mouth and I would have to be very sick to take it but I KNEW when I did take it that, as you said, I was going to SWEAT LIKE CRAZY, but I also never failed to wake up the next morning in my soaked sheets feeling like a new man. And on four other instances, my father gave it to family and a friend with the same results. This really is an amazing plant.
