Is there anything you haven't mastered? I am so thankful that you are making these videos. If i only had a teacher like you. Also thank you for having the mics in the video because I've been thinking of ways to record bongos and if you are doing it it's the way.

Once again I have learned more in 12 mins than surfin the “inner” net for hours. More to tell The Villages drummers who think they know what they are doing Thank you so much. What is the easyist way to order the heavy SD sticks you use for warm ups ?/

I have a question about sizes. I recently purchased a pair of Meinl bongos that were 6.75-8 sizes. Then i switches them for some LPs that are 6-7. I notice a huge difference in surface area when playing and i kind of regret switching now. Do the sizes of bongos really matter in terms of sound?

The larger size may be a tiny bit louder and have a lower tuning range, but it's not much of a difference at all. The heads will make the biggest difference. Thinner is better.

Maestro!! I have another question for you that I can't find the answer to. I just got a pair of 13" trans stamp hi hats, weight is 985 and 1025. They sound like rock n roll hats. I can't find any 13" trans stamp with these weight's online, are they unusual or what is the story of why they're heavy? Thank you for your time, and would greatly appreciate your help.

That's really heavy for those old Ks. My guess is that they were created as Banda cymbals ( Turkish band cymbals) and someone sold them as hihats. It is possible they were made as hihats that way but most of those were 14" and alot lighter. You can try to find a lighter top and use those as bottoms.

@@rickdiorThank you as always for your help. There not K's, there Avedis transition stamp, from my research there from around 1952 or 53. What do you think about old A's with this weight?

Same thing. They might have been intended for another purpose and then were used as hi hats. Zildjian did some strange things over the years back then when everything was pretty much hand made. Use them as bottoms or sell them to a local thrasher.

I wrote thrasher not trasher as in heavy rocker.
