Bonneville Speed Week Here We Come!! Driving a 12x Record Holding Camaro

For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to go land speed racing, and I'm not exactly sure why. And it's finally happening in Roger Beckman and Tim Cox's more than proven Camaro! Roger reached out to me and offered me the seat. It took a few months of phone calls back and forth to actually get something lined out. But then DT and Keith Turk went with me to check the car out and make sure it was a go. The car is a 12x record holder. I am shooting to get AA (250 MPH) license and maybe even set a record... we'll see!

Wow really neat. I had no idea of the weight and spin flat concept. From other racing I understand weight distribution and where the center of spin is for a car. Spinning from the center, really fast!

Been to El Mirage Dry Lake a few times. (Mainly for sail-carting). Good times.

I know lm late here. You look so relaxed and comfortable after seeing the car and sitting in it. Dad gave two thumbs 👍🏻 👍🏻 up ! And that's the best thing you could've heard ! You got this ! If they have a good bullet in the car, tuned right for the day, l see you making your 250 mile an hour license with ease. the AA license you need? I think 🤔 so that you can attempt a 250 to 290 M.P.H. pass ! You can and will get the pass with this car and bunch of really good characters. 👍🏻 👍🏻. All the Best Alex 💙. I am so excited for you Alex , you will drive it like the pro that you are . I have always been a fan of land speed record cars , in fact ( going to age myself here ha ha ) I used to go to Craig Breedlove's shop in California when I was a kid . Loved the car rides, to and from. The whole video is a great introduction to what should be a pretty incredible adventure. Thinking this ought to have the potential for a Taylor adventure documentary. How about doing a individually molded bean bag insert for the seat, once the seat location is finalized?

I thought that David Freiburg had a similar Camaro to get his red hat, I looked back at the Hot Rod article and who was hanging on the engine lift but Keith Turk ,but with more color in his hair.

in 1999 I bought a 1981 Z28 White - blue/black stripes & the Eagle on the hood. It had a early Computer & it hook up to the Holley Carb. Con: 350 wouldn't run without being hookup to the Carb electronic's. Pro: Super Run car as a Daily, Drove for 2 year's, lots of good things. I'd Like to drive this one on the Salts, this month!! what a Cruise it will be.
