Bonnie has been around forever, and she's always been excellent. She's also a top-shelf slide guitar player (Iconic). She's gotta house full of Grammy Awards - 13 wins and 30 nominations. The lady can sing and play. Thanks, guys, give her some more plays.

I second (or third) this. Beautiful song. The songs aren't really the same, beyond the emotional space they put you in, but if you like "I can't make you love me", try Keisha Cole's "I remember".

She has so much vocal flavor and she is a terrific slide guitarist. She's much closer to Tedeschi Trucks band than smooth jazz. This was a very slick vanilla track for her. Her version of John Prine's "Angel from Montgomery" is definitive.

"TOP TIER".. #1 the Great Bonnie Raitt. PERIOD. Super Sunday, dudes 🙏🏻😁 She was 40 yrs old when this album won the Grammy for Album of the year. Her first grammy! (edit) In 1988 she became co-founder of The Rhythm & Blues Foundation; for older artists with financial problems. She gives back to the forgotten Musicians who never got their dues. She is remarkable! She won grammy for Song of the Year this 2023. This woman got Legs!!! 🏆

Gotta love Bonnie Raitt. She can sing, she has great taste in her song choices, and she's a top tier slide guitar player. She released her first album in 1971, kept them coming, toured all over, and then in 1989 she became an "overnight success" when the Nick of Time album (her tenth) won her first three Grammy awards for Record of the Year, Best Female Rock, and Best Female Pop. At this point she has won 13 Grammys and has been nominated thirty times. She's the real deal.

I met Bonnie in a club in San Diego, in 87, where my girlfriend and I were the only people in the crowd that weekday night. She came over to our table during breaks and sat with us, and we chatted like we were long lost friends. I wanted to buy her a drink and she accepted, telling the waitress that she'd like a cup of hot water. When the cup arrived she pulled a lemon and knife from her jacket, cut the fruit and squeezed it in the water, and then, took a long loud sip and smiled. She interspersed the conversations with comments made to her by Delta Blues Masters, about taking care of the instrument. When she went back on stage and played, she looked right at us. I wasn't sure whether I should be amazed at her professionalism or embarrassed by the unspoken reality that no one came to hear her, but us. So, years later, when a resurgence came her way, I was completely overjoyed for her. She paid her dues. Really paid them,

Nick of Time is probably my favorite song of all time. Everything about the song works. The tune is so smooth. The lyrics are deep and meaningful. The first two verses are so melancholy and the bridge so thought provoking. Then the final verse arrives and ushers in the redemption that only love can offer, in the nick of time. Bonnie nailed this one. It is a true masterpiece!

Some of her very best: "Love Me Like a Man" Live 1995 shows her guitar picking, "Angel From Montgomery" Live Wonderland, "I Can't Make You Love Me" studio version, and the grammy winner "Just Like That" also studio version. Major pillar of the blues community, kickass slide guitar player, amazing voice... Since releasing her first album in 1971, she's won 13 Grammys, been inducted into the RRHOF, and made Rolling Stone's 100 Best of lists for both singer and guitarist. I'm a fan :)

The star in movie classic Caddyshack married Bonnie Raitt. When they were both peak of their popularity. He went into family obscurity life while Bonnie kept doing shows. This was a time around Central Texas you could see Stevie Ray Vaughan and Bonnie Raitt any given month in small venues under 300-400 capacity. Usually everyone standing up drinking. LOL! No seats. Random dancing, mostly sloppy happy drunks but it was a cool scene then. Nothing like what happened to 6th St since.

Love Bonnie Raitt! I used to sing a lot of her covers in bands in the 70s. She's a phenominal guitarist. She started a foundation ages ago to compensate older blues musicians who never received what they should. She used to bring them on her tours too, out of complete respect. I've seen her live 5 times. When she FINALLY won Grammy awards for this album, I was so thrilled. About damn time! Check out her older library and live shows.

She's blues from back in the 70s, was friends with and played with all the greats, Buddy Guy, BB King etc, she worshipped the blues kings. She's very famous for slide guitar as well as her incredible voice. Prince wanted to use slide in Cream and invited Bonnie to Paisley Park to teach him. In the end he just used her take in the actual song, lol. She's won a bunch of Grammy's. Runaway from her early days then Thing Called Love, Something to Talk About etc from her 80s Grammy records.
