If you like this song you should try other Steinman songs, he’s famous for this kind of bombastic, huge, Wagnerian drama in his songs, the operatic part was probably never as pronounced in any other of his songs as this one though which is probably why it’s so frequently used.

Funny you should say that, 'cause my ex-wife once swore that it was Rod Stewart singing a song that was playing on the radio. And she got mad as hell when I informed her that it was Bonnie Tyler. She immediately ran in to check on the computer, and was sulky for the rest of the night afterward. 🤣 Yeah, my ex-wife is an idiot. 'Cause the song was "Turn around bright eyes", or whatever its official title is. Some people just can't take being wrong.
