Interestingly whenever I wake up (probably few hours later), always this exact song is playing, and I have tears in my eyes. I live in Western Colorado, and this song speaks to me of autumn, walking on the Grand Mesa in a forest of golden aspen. A wind stirs brilliant waxy leaves, making them flash as they rustle overhead and slowly fall like coins. The stark white bark of the trees rise from the dark loam like the reveared bones of some long fallen god. The wind changes direction, and pulls down from the snow on Crag's Crest, bringing winter with it. As the sun sets, a glade appears, and in it rises a huge form, both majestic and monstrous. All falls silent as luminous eyes flash open.

Utterly sublime.

Decided to check out the view from my attic room, then I switched off the light and held my binoculars, whilst listening to "Bonobo Second sun" through my headphones. I opened the window and looked through the binoculars at the landscape trees and the far out tower with an incessant flashing red light. I looked to my left and could notice the lights from the lampposts, and the occasional red lights from the back of the cars. And as I slow moved my binoculars, now I could see a lot of lights from the city centre that illuminated the dark night only around them. Its yellow/orange warm colours almost fought the cold wind that was gently freezing my face. For a moment I felt I was in the sea, at night, wearing goggles and seeing plankton. I embraced life. I had now no fear of being in the dark in the middle of the sea. I knew I was part of the sea as much as part of land. I am matter. And I knew I was lucky to be alive. Lucky enough to be having these amazing simple moments in life. To be able to retain good memories. To admire someone. To feel. Laughing at the same time you see your best friend laughing. To be able to dive in water after being sun bathing under the hot sun for 2 hours. Try see a happy dog fetching a ball and bringing it back to its owner. Have a cup of tea with honey. Try cake. Those chocolate biscuits. Watch a movie. Make love. Those simple pleasures in life. Repeat these good thoughts and transfer them into more action. Repeat what you love. There's always something you love. So, to be happy, just repeat what you love

It's on my Spotify mix and though I have listened to my fav Bonobo songs for years - this wasn't one of them. The juxtaposition of the bass and little accents is beautiful. I listen to it when I meditate now. But also I remember it from another important time.
