Great video again. Keep up the good work. I have a bonsai Ficus as home and as it is a pretty amateur one I am wondering if you could do a video and how to get most out of your "garden center" Bonsais. Maybe this is some sort of an idea for one of your next videos :)

Seriously some of the best vlogs I've ever had the joy to discover. It's a bit episodic, but it's close to weighing just as much as work done by Casey Neistat and so fourth.

Can anyone help me understand why Bjorn, at 2:10, talks about moving the tree to a wooden pot. For better aeration, he raked the rootball, changed the soil mix to a coarser one and punched holes in the root ball. So, why couldn't the tree be retained in the same pot with the new soil ? Am i missing something ? In what way is the wooden pot contributing anything to the tree's health ? That part is just not clear to me. Thanks for your replies.
@CypherWitch7 жыл бұрын
its just a bigger pot, doing a wooden box like that for training/recovery is just quick and easy and cheap since its not going to be shown anyway
@VinnyChirayil7 жыл бұрын
+Dank McQuack Thanks for replying Dank. I would agree with you but Bjorn specifically mentioned the reason for the wooden pot was for better aeration. He could easily have retained the same display ceramic pot or used a bigger ceramic pot. Wooden training pots are usually deeper and this tree doesn't seem to at that stage any more. Hence, my confusion.

A wooden pot is porous, bc the wood is porous, leading to more aeration

Air goes through wood better than most other materials used for pots, whats to understand?
