Traveling can be challenging for children and adults on the spectrum. 87% of parents with autistic children, do not currently take family vacations. Changes in routine, crowds, new sights and sounds can make experiences difficult for them and their families.

Dawn Barclay (www.dawnbarclayink.com/) is an award-winning author who has spent a career working in different aspects of the travel industry. After spending several years in sales and marketing, she branched out into travel trade reporting with senior or contributing editor positions at Travel Agent Magazine, Travel Life, Travel Market Report, and most recently, Insider Travel Report. She is a mother of two and resides in New York’s scenic Hudson Valley.
