I remember being shown this very film while I was in the Canadian Army in the 70s. We were warned that although it was made during WW2, the ideas were still valid. It was an interesting course. One thing I remembered is being told that you can make a booby trap out of anything you can set your evil little mind to, and so can your enemy.

And candy bars, whistles, GI canteens, Thermos bottles, oil cans... The most impressive one I've seen is a time-delay fuse with dried peas in the bottom of a tube. Water is added and as the peas swell up, they slowly push up a plunger making two parts contact each other resulting in a completed electrical circuit.

I remember watching this in third grade and really enjoying it.

I guess any Booby trap the Allies set would be paid back in kind when it was their turn to advance.
