Because there is an option on the keyboard where you can change the key which is why even though he was playing in C, it sounded like a G#

First learn some left hand patterns (youtube has plenty of tutorials), then try working out the RH riffs by ear: the more you practice the easier it gets!

I think your left hand is to noisy and right hand to quiet
