Here are a few tips and discussions related to chapters 5 and 6. Author Diane Tarantini, AUTHOR OF THE BRAVE KNIGHT, will join the book club tonight to discuss body safety, what's expected, and how to prevent SSA.

Today's topic:
Preventing CSA
Sibling SA is very common and rarely reported. Today, we talk about how to create a safety circle at home. This is a more detailed look at CSA. I didn't interview Diane in the book because I didn't know her yet.
Notes from Diane:
Sometimes, kids with specific diagnoses can have a really hard time understanding body safety because of boundary issues and not really understanding the topic.
Develop a family code of conduct.
Teach body safety rules.
Explain privacy and body boundary rules early.
Curiosity:
What is "normal" and "not normal."
BATHTIME:
Base it on your comfort level, and ask how your kids feel. If anybody feels strange or awkward, address it quickly and discuss curiosity and privacy.
Talk about Pornography with your kids!
Read Good Pictures/Bad Pictures!
Talk about sibling harm and look for it!
BULLYING IS NOT SIBLING PLAY!
Remember to focus on these there strategies:
COMMUNICATION
SAFE ADULTS ( non-familial)
PORN-PROOFING YOUR HOME
Keep telling until a safe adult listens to you.
Pornography involved in desensitizing content, Online safety plan, what to do if your child sees pornography
Kids can repeat what they see!
