As a country’s stature and reach grow, so do its intelligence needs. This is especially true for one like India that has ambitions of being a global player even as it remains embattled in its own neighbourhood.The Unending Game tackles these questions while providing a national and international perspective on gathering external intelligence, its relevance in securing and advancing national interests, and why intelligence is the first playground in the game of nations.
Speakers
Vikram Sood, Former Head of R&AW and Advisor, ORF
Adrian Levy, Journalist and Film Maker
Indrani Bagchi, Diplomatic Editor, Times of India
Sushant Sareen, Senior Fellow, ORF

The guy sitting next to Vikram sir is NOT a CIA agent. He's got a heavy British accent, probably an ex MI6. Talking about the book I've seen many low intellect people criticising it because they didn't get "ek tha tiger" type story. Trust me it's a great book if you're looking for pure wisdom and not bs. Great work Mr. Sood. Jai hind

To my clear understanding the gentleman at 2.30 .was asking/alluding to the Intelligence Agencies in India,using the PRIVATE sector...indivisuals,connected and able to deliver results, both long term and short term...simple,straight forward participation. And VERY handsomely paid,and financially enabled,prior to an 'assignment''/task. This would be rapid , real game changer..what is also called a Force multiplier,with complete deniability, by the Agency using such pre-vetted and talented Private sector indivisuals.

This feeling and thoughts of indian hegemony on nepal has been inserted into minds of nepalis by certain foreign powers . We indians do not have any intention to Dominate nepal . we consider nepal as our brothers.
@devendragautam8476
@devendragautam8476 4 жыл бұрын
@@darshilmehta9905 I won't mince words to sound them sweeter to your ears: It is not entirely foreign powers' doing. My feeling is that there's a homegrown element to it, in view of the fact that the India of this day and age has inherited hegemonistic, imperialistic tendencies of British India, with which Nepal fought an unjust war with colossal consequences: The loss of one-third of her territory. Our borders bleed, thanks to instances of encroachment from the Indian side, with backing from your security personnel. Construction of water regulatory structures along no-man's land and further into Nepal hurts us tremendously. And then there's this open border, a floodgate for Nepal from which elements of all sorts enter, including criminal elements and refugees from as far as Myanmar through your territory. As if all this were not enough, your state supports tinpot dictactors like those in Thimphu, leading to the exodus of more than one lakh Bhutanese of Nepali origins into Nepal through your territories. And the blame almost always goes to Nepal whenever there's a terrorist attack on your soil. Of course, air routes are there, but many of these elements enter via our borders with India. You see, we cannot regulate the entry of all sorts of people given that we have this arrangement to let Indian nationals in. How can a not-so-well-equipped state regulate the entry of a sea of humanity when all of these people look like Indians and produce forged documents? We need cooperation from your state apparatuses to control the threat to your and our very own national security. But your apparatuses seem to be thinking: Good-riddance, we have somehow rid ourselves of these elements and that's good for us. The deep reach of the Indian state in the affairs of Nepal is no more a secret. Chinese influence in Nepal may have been increasing here, but the same has been happening the world over. My feeling is that if India cannot maintain cordial relations with Nepal (one of the countries in the subcontinent that's really sensitive to your interests) in a true sense, then there's something seriously wrong with their polity. Let this discussion generate more light than heat. Let sanity prevail on both sides of the border.
