Here are my top 10 playoff overtime goals between 1995-2004.
CLICK DESCRIPTION FOR EXPLANATIONS
10. Martins Gelinas: I felt Gelinas' goal deserved to be on the list because it broke the Calgary Flames' playoff curse.
9. Slava Kozlov: His goal came in at number 9 because it was a nice individual effort and also sent the wings to the Finals for the first time in 29 years.
8. Todd Marchant: A series the Oilers should never have won if not for Cujo. One of the most entertaining series of the 90s the Stars were upset on a beautiful goal from Marchant.
7. Steve Rucchin: Detroit was the defending Stanley Cup Champions and finished the season with 110 points, but was shocked by the mighty ducks. This was the start of the ducks magical run all the way to game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals.
6. Igor Larionov: Just a beautiful goal from Larionov to put the wings up 2-1 in the 2002 Cup finals.
5. Keith Primeau: "The marathon man" scored the OT winner after 5 overtimes with a snipe. It was the longest overtime game of the modern era.
4. Brett Hull: Hull's goal should not have counted, but the NHL made a lame excuse where shot rebound save spin second shot score is all one motion and therefore it should count (typical NHL). But anyways it won Dallas the Stanley Cup so it's on the list.
3. Uwe Krupp: The most unlikely of heroes, but Krupp scored the goal to give the Avalanche their first Stanley Cup.
2. Jason Arnott: Arnott's goal was set up on a nice pass that he put in the back of the net to win the Devils the Cup.
1. Steve Yzerman: It didn't win Detroit the Cup, but it was and still is one of the most iconic overtime goals in NHL history.
* Yes there are a lot of Detroit goals here, but they owned the late 90s and early 00s.
*Sorry for small audio issue on Primeau goal

I fell asleep on the recliner chair in the living room. I woke up and literally about 30 seconds later they won! Yes Thorne’s “Colloooraddddoooo Avalanche have won the Stanley Cup” call was awesome.

As a Devils fan as much as I luv Arnott’s goal as it won us the Cup, Yzerman’s goal is just amazing! Maybe it’s bc it was scoreless. Maybe it’s Thorne’s call. Just spectacular.
