My personal Fav is "A good girl's guide to murder. It's talking about a case that ended 5 years ago about a girl that got killed by her boyfriend i found it quite intresting. There are two parts, the first with ~445 pages pretty sure the other one has ~400. The story is intresting, there are lots of emotional moments and I find it accurate.

This book/novel is really good it's for everyone it's also a movie but first read the book and then watch the movie it's called "The Outsiders" if the whole graded loved that random book you would too!

Books i would recommend ( very different to the books shown in the video ) : Heartstopper, by Alice oseman: a comic that involves two boys called Nick and Charlie who fall in love. The well known characters are Nick (Nicholas) nelson, Sarah Nelson, David Nelson, Stephane Nelson, Charlie (charles) Spring, Oliver spring, tori (Victoria) spring, Julio Spring, Jane spring, Elle Argent, Darcy Olsson, Tara Jones, Aled Last and Tao Xu. There are lots more characters that I could name but they aren’t the main characters. The relationships are nick n charlie, Elle and Tao and Darcy and Tara. Darcy and Tara are lesbians, Ellie is trans (she used to be a boy), Tao is as straight as a ruler, Nick is bi and charlie is gay. I would rate these books 10/10 because it is amazing but also involves ED, SH, Body Dismorphia and OCD. They have a show but I think the books are better. Radio silence, by Alice oseman: I haven’t read the whole thing so the description won’t be as big as heartstopper but basically it’s about a girl called Frances who meets Aled Last. (the guy in heartstopper). Aled makes this series kinda thing called Universe City and Frances loved it, but Frances didn’t know Aled made it until later. Frances doesn’t like him like that, she just likes him as a friend. Frances is the head girl in her year, so is a boy named Daniel, later on in the story, Frances knows that Daniel and Aled are together (which is mentioned in heartstopper). What I love about this book is that it’s on the same universe as heartstopper, most of Alice Oseman’s books are and that’s what I love about them. 8/10 so far for me. Solitaire, by Alice oseman: I haven’t read it yet but I know what it’s about, sometimes you here TikTok audios about it. It’s about tori spring. (Charlie’s older sister). I don’t know a lot about this book, but I can tell you where you might’ve heard it (this will not be exact I have a bad memory): home calling, one am. I pick up the phone, “hello?” “Tori. When will you be home?” “Oliver? Why are you awake?” “I was watching doctor who.” “Did you watch (some episode I forgot the name of)?” “…” “Oliver, are you alright? why are you calling me?” “Somethings wrong with Charlie..” my face must’ve done something very unusual, because Micheal gave me a look. “What has happened.?” “…” “what’s happened Oliver what has Charlie done? Where is he?” “ I can’t get in the kitchen, Charlie’s locked the door and I can hear him. When are you coming home tori?” “I’m coming right now..” I hang up. I get home and try and open the door but can’t because he has put things in front of it. “Charlie if you don’t open the kitchen door I’ll kick it down im not joking!” “no you wont..” his voice is dead. empty. but I’m relived because he’s alive. I push the handle down and push with my whole body. “Don’t come in!” He sounded panicked, which made me panicked. Because Charlie is never panicked. “Don’t come in here please!” I make a gap large enough for me to slip inside. And I do. “No go away leave me alone!” I look at him, he’s been crying. His eyes are dark red and purple and the darkness in the room drowns him in a haze. There is a plate of lasagna on the kitchen table, cold. All of our food has been removed from our cupboards. Laid out sorted by colour and size. There are a few tissues with blood on them in his hands. He’s not.. better.. That’s all imma do for solitaire bc that was already a lot of information lol. I would rate it 12 / 10. Tbh it actually made me cry in that scene. If we get to 20 likes I’ll do more! Part 2: Nick and Charlie: Nick and Charlie is a book where two boys who are in love have an argument. Nick is older, so he is going to university, but Charlie will be left behind. Charlie did not want to be left behind but it was nicks choice. This book is set after hearstopper and after solitaire. As Charlie suffered from ED, SH, Body dismorphia and OCD, he has got better since he went to the mental hospital. Nick and Charlie didn’t talk for about a month, then Charlie decides to send Nick photos to see if he gets them. They end up meeting somewhere and get back together. This book was a very emotional book because seeing them argue is sad. The audio book is sadder since their are voice actors over it. Here’s some scenes from the book. (Nicks pov) “C: I’m going to be stuck in this shitty town all by myself and here you are, talking about it like it’s the best thing ever. And you know what? It makes me feel like shit. It feels like you’re looking forward to getting rid of me. Like you can’t wait to finally get out of here and get away from me”. “N: What the fuck? What do you want me to do? Not go to university?” “C: no!” “N: cause that sounds like what you’re saying.” “C: no I’m not.” “N: You’ve got no fucking right to be annoyed at me about that. I’m a year older than you, I’m going to university in September that’s just the way it is!” “C: why are you being like this..?” “N: MATE, WHAT THE FUCK AM I ‘BEING LIKE’? “C: don’t call me mate… you never call me.. ‘mate’..” “N: you are really being a proper dickhead tonight, aren’t you?” “C: JUST LEAVE THEN!” “N: yeah, fine, no problem. I rate this book a 9/10. It’s really emotional. Solitaire (part 2) I just finished solitaire and it was actually really good. It’s about a girl called tori spring, she meets a guy called Michael Holden and wonders why he wants to be friends with her, there is a group of people called solitaire and no one knows who the owner is. Solitaire started playing material girl in the school, locked doors and even blew fireworks infront of people. The firework was under tori’s body and when it started, she couldn’t move, she froze and accepted her death. Luckily Michael saved her. She attempted suicide 2 times in this book. Solitaire also burned the school down. I rate this book 10/10 amazing book. More at 120 likes!

Honestly I feel like teenage girls are just seen as spoiled and wanting boys/bfs and being popular but generally it’s really hard coming from me. You never know who to trust with any of your secrets and constantly are dragged into something you never started

I also recommend Terry Pratchett's"the wee free men", it's the start of a very funny and sweet series about a girl growing up and becoming a witch, and it's also a pretty good jumping off point for the author's other books (most of which are set in the same word, the discworld, but you don't need any prior knowledge of that to read these)

for you people that like reading kid chapter books, i recomend Holes its about a kid named stanley yelnats and he got framed for stealing something so he was sent to a boy's juvy camp. This camp is where you dig holes the width and height of your shovel. I don't wanna spoil it but i loved it as a kid!

1984 was a favorite as a teen girl I tried to tell my friends that definitions could be changed in 1 generation and they laughed at me but all it takes is teaching the new one and claiming older ppl/parents don’t what they are talking about- and now look it’s happened a few times! 😂

Another good one is “Girl in Pieces” it does deal with sensitive topics but it shows the ups and downs of everything and that it takes time to heal

Little Women is my favourite movie of all time and I absolutely love the book. I shows such empowerment in women and a sense of feminism and how society worked at that time, and how that effected women's day to day lives, which link back into today's world. Totally worth the read- and thw watch !!! ❤❤❤

Teen girl book list (in my opinion) - 1 - "Jayne Eyre" and "Fast Tracked". To me, these two are very good examples of self respect. Jayne Eyre respected herself enough to leave Rochester, even though it broke her heart to do so. In Fast Tracked, Zandria respected herself enough to refuse to sleep her way to power. 2 - The Divergent series - Actions have consequences. Learn to think about possible longer term consequences of decisions before you make them. Tris wasn't thinking past her nose when she chose Dauntless, and that caused the war, and then the breakdown off the entire society. 3 - Anne of Green Gables - You can be an assertive, active woman, but still be feminine. 4 - Prep - Perspective/attitude and your own feelings about yourself can make or break a situation. Don't wast time comparing yourself to others. The main character, who was a working class girl attending an elite boarding high school, felt inadequate in comparison to her wealthy classmates, who cared much less about those things than she did. Her feelings about herself caused what could have been a great opportunity for her to be a disappointing experience.

As someone who’s almost done with being a teenage girl here’s what I’d recommend even though these are pretty different: 1. The Worst Journey in the World by Apsley Cherry-Garrard. It’s nonfiction (the memoir of an early 1900s Antarctic explorer) that reads like an exciting novel. It’s a very sad story, but the author seems to find purpose in writing about what he went through and he does it so well you can’t help but be pulled in. There’s also a gorgeous graphic novel adaptation; the first volume of a planned 4 is already out. 2. Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir. This is by the same guy who wrote The Martian, but I felt like PHM took what made The Martian great and added to it. It’s a surprisingly funny hard sci-fi thriller. Don’t even read the summary; I went in blind and I’m so glad I did. I read the whole thing in one sitting and I’d give my right arm to read it again for the first time. 3. Hamlet by William Shakespeare. It’s Hamlet. ‘Nuff said. (Seriously, though, it really is worth the hype. There’s something in it for everyone.) 4. Vespertine by Margaret Rogerson. All of Rogerson’s books are fantastic, but Vespertine is the one that resonated with me the most. It’s about a magic nun who fights evil undead and makes friends with something halfway between a ghost and a biblically accurate angel. Let me know if you want more; I’ve got pretty broad taste so I have a lot of recs I’d love to share!

the way i was before. it does have some really REALLY mature themes but it focuses on the sad realities of keeping silent about SA. it also shows how being silenced can keep character development from happening. then read the way i am now. it shows how speaking up can change a persons life for the better.

Solitaire is amazing. It’s about tori, a pessimistic, depressed, straightforward girl with her mentally ill brother. The story is kinda realistic fiction/mystery. A blog called solitaire appears and starts its tormenting of her school. The characters are interesting and its so well written :D

You should read Sparrow by Sarah Moon, it's about a girl who has a hard time fitting in and uses music to open up after a tragic incident!

I love them all! Really FANTASTIC books for girls. Teaches a lot about different kinds of girls and teens not just on their likes but on their approach on life and gender without being overbearing and condescending or "on your face". Are books that made me reflect deeply on what kind of person and woman I was and that I wanted to become (now some of it I am and some I changed my mind). Great role models for all kinds of women

I highly recommend the book Incarceron and its sequel, Sapphique. They're a fascinating mixture of steampunk and darker fantasy who still enjoy the fantasy genre but want something unique. I also highly recommend A Heart In a Body In the World, which is one of my favorite books of all time. However, it's set in real life, so people with a tendency towards action might find it boring. Lastly, I love and recommend anything written by Neil Gaimon ever.
