The Mitford series by Jan Karon. It is about a small town told from the perspective of the rector. There is a bakery and bookstore and so much more! Definitely a favorite for this time of year.

The Christmas Sisters was made into a Hallmark movie last year, titled North to Home. Chocolate chip cookie murder is also a movie in the Hallmark Hannah Swenson series. I watch way too much Hallmark in case you hadn't noticed but I am loving your book recommendations.

I loved that video! There’s definitely some books I’ll have to read. I‘m a new subscriber and a lot of people have probably mentioned this already but I‘m going to write it anyway: for all the people who do speak/understand german, there‘s a whole series (18 books) called „Gilmore Girls“ which literally tells the story of Rory and Lorelai! I don‘t know if they do exist in other languages and it‘s been quite a while since I read them, but I quite liked this series.

I’ve been thinking about this book I read about a month ago titled The Binding by Bridget Collins and every time I watch one of your videos I think that you might like it. The cover is beautiful, it’s magical and atmospheric. It’s starts at the beginning of fall and moves into winter so it’ll be right up your alley. I am a new subscriber and I was thinking about recommending Sarah Addison Allen and I am so glad to see someone beat me to it and recommend Garden Spells but you can't go wrong with any of Sarah Addison Allen books they are all addictive and magical. I highly recommend, “The Sugar Queen” by Sarah Addison Allen as your next read. You will love that book📚🧚🏻

Great book choices!! I don't know if anyone in the comments mentioned this or noticed but the book Chocolate chip cookie murder is written by JoAnne Fluke but the main character is Hannah Swensen.

I recommend reading Laura Resau's "The Indigo Notebook" series. Its a series of three books, I just finished reading the first two, and I will be reading the final book for the Gilmore Girls Readathon. This book series features a mother and daughter relationship, that is much like Lorelai and Rory's, but instead of living in a small town, they have spent their whole lives traveling the world, and each year they move to a new country where they meet a whole new cast of characters, that gives you Stars Hollow vibes. Layla got pregnant at 19 when she was on a trip to Greece, she claims that she was drunk off the moon, and although she remembers details of Zeeta's father, she doesn't remember much about him except his love for Jimi Hendrix and guitar playing. After she got pregnant, her parents begged her to come home in order to raise her child, but she decided to continue traveling along with her daughter, and wherever they go, they are often mistaken for sisters or bffs, rather than as mother and daughter. Layla's personality reminds me so much of Lorelai, and Zeeta is just like Rory. These books are beautifully written, and i definitely recommend them for anyone looking for a Gilmore Girls like vibes.

I agree with the Hannah Swenson Mystery series I'm on book 6. As well as A Bakeshop Mystery ny Ellie Alexander. The pitch line for it was Gilmore Girls with murder. Im on book 7 and loving them!

I really love it but I want to cry. Almost every book you listed has not been translated into my native language😢 EDITED: AWHHH, WE MOVED TO THE USA! NOW I READ BOOKS IN ENGLISH WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS, AND I’M SO HAPPY ABOUT IT 😃
