Frankly for children's book fan that was absolutely pornographic and I loved every minute of it. Put some of those on a wish list ( my poor grandson is only 20 months old) but yeah, I'm ready!! This was a wonderful video, thank you, seriously, I got some really great ideas.

Amazing book collection!! So many questions for you. 1) Do you buy new books only? 2) What do you do with the books that Emily outgrows? 3) How often does she reread books? 4) Are there any books that she cares to read only once? 5) What books are you keeping for yourself and/or for your future grandkids? 6) Your shelves seem full. How do you make room for new books? 7) If you are comfortable sharing, specific or general, what is your yearly budget for homeschooling? For books? For games? For other stuff for homeschooling? Do you buy only new for everything? Do you buy second hand items or thrift?

I buy used books as often as possible. I have a step mom who is a teacher and a neice and nephew a little younger so I pass things on to them. She rereads books often. Books that she only cares to read oncce get donated quickly but we don't normally buy books unless we have seen them or checked them out from the library and love them. I have a handful of books for grandkids mostly by Eric Carle. We make room by purging when we need to. I don't/won't allow myself to exceed the area allotted. I don't have a budget, I do miss the days of libraries being easier to access (pre-pandemic) though because it saved me a lot more money!

Wow! You have built up an awesome book collection and it's so neatly organized! I love it...it's fun just to look at these bookshelves! I love the copy of Little House in the Big Woods that you have, with the colored illustrations. We recently started using Usborne readers at the different 1,2,3 levels in our homeschool and they have been a really nice addition!

Your book collection is amazing! I would suggest The Faraway Tree books by Enid Blyton and Muddle-Earth by Paul Stewart. Really entertaining books that had me hooked as a child. Also, for history, I think the Horrible Histories series by Terry Deary is amazing.

ooh I didn't ikinow the little lhouse books had a color edition! my faves are the first 3 about Laura- big woods, plum creek, and silver lake after that she gets older and just not as into it but I read them

So, I already commented before I finished the video! Could you do a spin off from this video? Focus on best of best - for girls or why Emily loved it or best of Usborne, if you were starting out on your journey on a budget... what in each category would be must own!! I didn’t see many picture books per-say do you read those often still? Thank you

The Waldock Way I think you have a lot of fans who would love to see your picture book collection or see some of Emily‘s favorites as far as the Usborne ones that she is really picked up a lot of knowledge and enjoys looking at them without you by her side.

Some great books! Phantom Tollbooth, Dahl, From the Mixed Up Files, etc - lots of great choices. Do you keep books in other rooms too?

What an awesome collection! I have a read aloud question. My nephew will be 3 in two weeks. Of course we read picture books to him. But, I want to eventually incorporate read alouds of chapter books and extended pieces. When would you recommend incorporating this?
