Lol Galentine's Day is a Parks and Recreation thing. It's what the main character (played by Amy Poehler) celebrates with her gal pals 😂❤️ a day before Valentine's.

I feel like friendships are so often overlooked by books in favour of romance, when I think friendship can be some of the most important relationships we build! It's why I loved Crescent City so much. I'm glad to hear Cinderella is Dead has good friendships too.

Happy Galentine’s day 💛🥳 . I need to add Catherine house and wilder girls to my tbr . I keep seeing everyone recommend it . I’ve read Cinderella is dead I still don’t know how I feel about that story but it’s indeed strong female empowerment and it has some really good points

I love Lyra in the Golden Compass, she's still a kid but she has a goal and does whatever she can to achieve it. And what I really like about her is that she does it compassionately. Sadly, there are not too many female friendships in the trilogy. Some of the books you recommended are just waiting to be read, especially Priory of the Orange Tree and Crescent City! Plus, you made me curious about the others, I'll add some of those to my wishlist :)

A great reccomendation for this theme is Extraordinary Adventures of the Athena Club trilogy by Theodora Goss. All the girls are incredible, and it also has very good feminist messages woven into the historical setting.

I have celebrated Galentine’s day with my book bestie, she should receive her gift today. I think the celebration of female friends in this way is great. I have been waiting for ages to pick up Magpie Society, think me and my book bestie are reading it shortly as we have been picking out our tbr’s so we can read similarly through the month
