In this video I will explain the concept of boolean searches (for recruiting purposes specifically). This is one of many ways recruiters search for resumes to fill various jobs based on various job descriptions.

Thank you so much for this, it's really helpful. This is my first time doing this. I realized that I need to know the other options or similar terms used for a single job title. A janitor can also be referred to as a sanitation staff, sanitation engineer, cleaner, and so on. It's kinda tricky at first.

im pulling my hair out trying to find a simple director Legal Affairs I+ Media+ international + Latin america I wrote the string(7 times) and it came up with public officials uggh not lawyers which is what I need. Its making me crazy. Any help is appreciated.

I would recommend checking the job description for specific skills, certifications, or degrees. Another option is to look up people currently in the role and find words from their resume that could help.

How do you write someone with 1-3 years of experience only? Can you help me on this please and write the boolean string for it? thank you!

My best recommendation would be to use the AND operator and list entry level job titles in parenthesis such as: "entry level" AND finance It's basic but could be modified. Additionally, websites like LinkedIn have the ability to search based on how long someone has been in the industry (if I remember correctly).
