What is a TR3? It is a landowner or tractor owner's game changer! Join me for today's fun and very productive episode as I tackle some severe gravel driveway washouts from water erosion after the last 2 thunderstorms we just had down here in Southern Illinois. And one of the storms dumped over 6 inches of rain in 12 hours! So today I'll be taking out my KIOTI NS6010 hst cab tractor with my new ABI attachments TR3 rake (I call it the TR3 grader!). This particular tractor implement is super easy to use for any beginner but it also has some built in moves that really make it super diverse on all of the different ways that you can use it. It incorporates 3 different functions with each and every pass. The first rock rake/dirt rake begins the grading process and captures dirt or stone and drops it into existing low spots. Next the hydraulic scarifiers cut the dirt or driveway gravel to loosen it up at whatever depth you need to cut it. Then the rear grader (I call it a comb because it looks just like the 1980's comb that I used to carry in my back pocket! LOL) makes a uniform and even grade of the dirt or gravel stone. As each episode and tractor project comes out I will continue to expand on several tricks and techniques that make this TR3 rake even more diverse, beneficial and useful! I have been using the SR3 skid steer version of this abi attachments implement for several years. This tr3 is basically the tractor version as opposed to the skid steer sr3 version. While this abi attachments tr3 rake is designed for ease of use and so that anyone can successfully grade dirt, or stone, or gravel easily, there is a very specific way that it has to be used. And even though anyone can use it, and there is a very short learning curve, there are also a few different ways that it can be used as it has multiple different grading and leveling functions.
