Bought it at lunch played it a little enjoyed it a lot… Will play this a lot more in the future - just like all The other Devolver Digital titles that I have love to play…

I was already thinking about purchasing this game when i randomly was searching upcoming games about a month ago or so and though i really wasn’t on the fence - it solidified my decision to get but actually getting it right away! Thanks guys!

This does look really good. I love the visuals and the gameplay looks really good. I feel like I wouldn’t be able to get along with some of the mechanics though. I might consider getting it on sale. Thanks for the review.

Flick stick is a very interesting control scheme. It does need a tutorial to introduce people to it. It was invented by Jibb Smart way before this game. Look at his channel Gyro Gaming for those who are interested But for those who want to learn it but not see the channel, the key it to rotate the stick. Flick it if you really need to turn

I do enjoy watching the fast-paced game play and the use of vertical maneuvers to traverse the arenas however this style of game just doesn't interest me at the moment. Maybe if there is a demo available, then I could possibly change my mind. Thanks for the review.

The gameplay reminds me of Tron 2.0 for the PC, in that it's a first person game with a ranged weapon that comes back to you.

Interesting to hear that the game can last around 8 hours. Many other reviews are saying 2 or 3 which made me hesitant. It usually takes me longer to finish games than average and I'd most likely play through New Game Plus too... So probably worth it after all. Thanks guys.

I'm about a half hour into the game. I don't usually play FPS games on a controller, and now I'm wondering how amazing this game would feel with mouse and keyboard. I don't have any complaints, though.

If you guys want to learn more about flick stick, check out the Gyro Gaming channel by JibbSmart. He is the guy that came up with it and implemented on his Controller remapping software (JoyShockMapper). It is a really cool way to play using gyro, and I hope Nintendo implements it on Splatoon 3

this is one of those games that isnt great on a controller, however it feels amazing on PC with a mouse.

It's a good game, but the last two stages have a massive difficulty spike that made them very frustrating. Everything else was just right.

It's an interesting concept, but watching it makes me dizzy. I'm guessing it's the particular combination of the boomerang weapon + first person + bright colors, since I don't normally get motion sick from video games.

This is the kind of game I think omg this looks awesome then I buy it and spend most of my time launching my switch because I’m useless when it comes to quick coordination and defeating enemies 🤣

Game looks good, really interesting. But i feel like i would loose so hard, it seems way to fast passed for me. Still, for everyone that is in this type of game, it is a solid buy imo

It's got a lot of accessibility and control options that would be really beneficial to someone not used to a really hyperactive FPS game like this. This one is actually pretty tame compared to something like UltraKill or Ghostrunner.

But since i play in handheld most of the time its only of use when i dock the Switch...since everybodys biggest love the joycon drift makes this games even harder... But thats Not the games fault!!! Still, great that it has these options to make the game more accessible.

I started playing this last month. I played it on and off for a while. Recently, I picked it up to finish it. Holy crap it gets your blood pumping every time. Difficulty scales fairly well... But man it's out to get you towards the end lol.

More of a Glaive than boomerang. But not your fault there. I love Krull, Xena, and Turok2. So this looks like a fun area combat game with the glove mechanics and just medium skill required till you get better.

DONT BUY THIS GAME !!!!the gyro and from what I've heard sticks get inverted back and forth constantly it's literally unplayable and at some points tries to put in both inputs which makes the camera not even move DONT WASTE MONEY JUST YET

The 'boomerang' name is a little off/offensive, to be honest. Especially being released during NAIDOC week (google it). It's also untrue as we all know what a boomerang really looks like. I wouldn't call it cultural appropriation but it's on the nose nonetheless. In so saying, the game does look quite good. But it'll be a no from me. At least until they do something with the name.
