~ Please read ~ Still works - 4/4/2023. Skip all mobs besides the two prior to Boss (blow CD's on Axe Throwers and Starfall as they can stun you, kill running tigers so they dont pull another group). Done with no rocket boots (mounted), the strat is agro boss, reset, beat him back and agro add, reset, Phase 2 initiates. Using tree for ping pong to heal. No special gear or cheese, normal raid talents.

It's important to get back and tag one of the ads prior to Thekal getting back. In your General message bar you will see something about "Phase 1 ended" which is then when you know you can tag the add, there's usually a 1 second window, as it triggers combat to still continue but also for Phase1 to end which tricks it to go into Phase 2. Also - If you are a NElf you have the ability to Shadowmeld and reset if the reset doesn't work - which does sometimes happen.
To get into ZG without a group, create this macro and spam it as you walk into ZG:
/run InviteUnit("a");C_Timer.After(.25,function()
ConvertToRaid() end)

VERY helpful - thank you! Was taking me forever to figure this out but then saw your comment to wait for the "phase 1 ended" prompt and I was able to down it very next try! First time soloing but about 20 runs deep or so - fingers crossed!

I do it little differently, without boots also. I just did my first solo kill, so reseting still works as of 8.8 -23

29/4/23 - been doing for almost 5 months, gotten 3 tiger, but it seems to be fixed this week, no longer worked after 1.5 hours tries

Update, still works 1/27 and I finally got the mount! Relatively lucky, 31 attempts.

I tried this more than 140 times over the past 3 weeks, so over 10 hours of trying in total and it didn't work once for me. Also the tree stump keeps just teleporting me to on the field getting me almost oneshot and when I pull the boss for the second time, so where he should turn into tiger phase, they just keep following and killing me all the way to the entrance of ZG. Theres either something you're not showing or explaining clearly or this has been patched and no longer works.

Have you guys read the description in the video? It gives more information that is helpful with getting him to phase. Other people have commented it still works.

This never works for me 99% of the time, the boss just resets over and over or they don't reset and kill me instead.

Nope! Just did it today 1/4/2023. Sometimes you gota reset and retry if it doesn't phase. Just keep trying though, it will work. Usually takes me about 3 tries.
