My Nightowl died so i replaced it and upgraded the cameras with the Samsung video surveillance system.

+boompowzap Just wonderful, I have been researching "home cameras" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Conrayden Surveillance Equalizer - (search on google ) ? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my co-worker got cool results with it.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only that have had issues with night-owl. Ever since i purchase that system from Sam's club I have been having issues with it. I know this was posted over 7 months ago, but did you have to replace the other night owl cameras?

I've had mine like 3 yrs it works great and it has motion detection great night vision I don't use the app it wouldn't work for me it kept stopping when I tried to use it but maybe with iPhone it will work

Thank You! Looks easy...I use hotspot on my phone and stream to my tv's. I wonder how that will work on my phones and tablets while I'm away. I also have a laptop but no desktop computer or router....I also have WiFi. I'm done with cable and all that other internet service crap with their outrages prices. I'm sure I'll get this to work my way. Lol I also need to put one camera on a pole...any ideas?

I wanted to capture a minute of footage from an event but it is asking me for a location, like a pathname or something. I have no clue and the manual is shit. Maybe I have to insert a USB drive into it for it to show in the blank location field? My older model was like that come to think of it now. Let me go try this now and I'll update here. Took me about two years to get it set up on the shelf and two cameras working as a test. I think the test is over and I now am waiting on cooler weather to crawl around in the attic and run these wires I have coiled up and ready to connect. So much fun these video security systems. You never know what you'll catch on them.

I got a used system from a friend. It has 9 cameras and two power adapters. Do i need to plugin both the power adapters and split the power source to the 9 cameras? Although all can be plugged in with the 9 way splitter.

Make sure you have a good surge cord because lightening storms will short it out I replaced the main plug once because of it but it didn't hurt Dvr but last night same thing happened and so now I have to order another cord to see if it still works because the thunder storm knocked out the cameras grrrr I'm so mad!! I have to have my cameras! I feel lost without them!

One thing you'll notice -- if they made the BNC connectors just one angstrom closer together, the knurled barrels would engage like gears!

Honestly i just had the last straw with this thing and decide to get the nest camera, extremely easy to setup, Samsung just didnt give a damn when it came to setting this up for remote which is bad since the camera works and records but to remote view it just doesnt work

Hey I just installed my Samsung security system and I do have AT&T Internet service so I do have a call them first to get all my information to set up my camera on my phone and my computer right and also I did download app on my phone please help thanks

Dear Sir, I already configure everything but the last when i configure to the iPOLis app it is always told me that the password and ID invalid. I confirmed the password and ID i put in iPOLis it is the DVR ID and Password. Pls help me what ID and password should be correctly put in? Thanks

it is case sensitive meaning whatever upper/lower case letters u wrote on the settings on DVR needs to be the SAME exact one on the phone

so you used the wires from the Night Owl system right?.. that way you didn't have to run all the wires again.

Not a snake, it's the monitor. You can see the same line on the left side of the ladder before he switches camera. Would of been awesome if it was a snake.

Ok so I've used this video as my go to in the past many times. And I juat noticed my DVR wasn't sending photos/videos to my email anymore. So I looked it up and recently Gmail as of May 30th 2022 I beleive it was Gmail no longer supports the use of third-party apps or devices. Has anyone ran into this issue while using this DVR and know the fix!? Please help 🙏 😭

Hola alguien sabe porque mi dvr solo grava alrededor de 24 hrs solamente le puse un disco duro adicional en total tiene dos de 2bt cada uno y los reseteo y despues de 2 dias se ponen full y no guarda mas que lo de dos dias si alguien me puede ayudar cyal es el problema gracias

Do not buy any video security system that has less than 30fps. You will regret it when you find out that the live and recorded video is jerky, no smooth flow, with onscreen smears and ghostly images that you cannot recognize what car or person it is.
