@@JohnLaRuffa Not only is there a push, but only one or two strats work well, as the printed rules stand, because of it.

Just higher points. I got clobbered on the medium level today so it provides a good challenge.

It is for me but the feel is very different then Maracaibo. I really enjoy most of Pfister’s designs and come back to playing them often.

@@JohnLaRuffa could be worth looking into for me then. I'm enjoying Pfister quite a bit. It kind of reminds me of Trajan-style stuff from Stefan Feld.

@@realdealastrology9 I do think the ai’s boat does race through the river though and hasten you along. As long as that did not bother you too much with the Jean bot in Maracaibo, you should be OK.

@@JohnLaRuffa yeah it doesn't bother me. I found a good strategy guide online for Jean. Go for as many ship upgrade unlocks as you can by hitting up cities early on in round 1, then start going after quests. It worked on easy mode (the easy card plus easy Jean). I scored 149 to 93. I'm going to up the difficulty to hard Jean next.

@@JohnLaRuffa I'm surprised at how replayable Maracaibo is. Really love it. A keeper for me. I didn't think that the race Jean thing would work, but it does. Jacques also mixes things up for the co-op scenarios too (which you can play solo, of course). I still have yet to try the campaign. That will be next.
