Another great video, Carl, thanks. This is another good lesson for me. I’m very visual, so boards appeal to me. I’ve always turned my nose up at annual planning, but you’ve inspired me to give it a go! Happy travels!

Thank you for this! Great project management tool versus adding a separate app. TODOIST just keeps getting better and better. Your tips are always great.

This is the project dashboard idea I've been looking for. Until now, I was keeping a scratch pad note in Evernote for this kind of overview planning and progress tracking but your idea offers way more flexibility. Thanks Carl.

As a planning tool for projects, Todoist and Trello are very similar and both are very easy to implement. Thanks Carl for your Todoist's presets, I am using them and I am more efficient in my work.

Thank you for this wonderful video. I've been following you for a while and love your minimalist approach. I know recently you've introduce "the written planner" . Do you use the written planner, Apple Notes to breakdown your goals? Thank you

Thanks for the great video Carl! I am going to prepare my 2024 planner on Todoist now! Previously used Evernote but found it a bit cumbersome to use and I think I overcomplicated it linking it to project folders etc. Thank you for your ideas and allowing us to implement simpler more efficient systems :)

Seasons Greetings Mr P! Looking forward to the release of your book. Good post here - I've been doing this style of planning in Todoist for some time, but on a monthly basis - something me and Mrs D share. We use non-completable tasks like you, but we do set up a recurrning "last sunday in the month" task where we can sit down with a coffee and plan out the next month. Might add a Quarterly one just to zoom out a bit.

Season greetings to you, too, Steve. Hope all is well. I don't think my wife could plan a month in advance. She's very much more on the fly than I am.

Hi Carl thanks for another brilliant and instructive video I just had a question about the developing column that you used to have on the left-hand side before the first quarter and I wondered what you're thinking was in deciding to drop that column?
@Carl_Pullein
@Carl_Pullein 7 ай бұрын
Ah, this is my project planner. I already know what my projects are, so I don't need a develop column here.

Hi Carl, I recalled from your older videos, you used Evernote with a master projects list. As opposed to Todoist for planning with boards view. Do you still use Evernote with the master project list?
@Carl_Pullein
@Carl_Pullein 6 ай бұрын
I've moved my Master Projects list to Apple Notes this year as an experiment. So far, it's working very well. The Todoist planning board is to ensure I am not trying to do too much in any single quarter.

Thanks. Do you still manage the projects in Evernote or do you do all of it in Todoist now?

Hello Carl! I listened to your podcast yesterday, where you advised fixing hours when you work. I recently worked from very early morning to nighttime, and I was exhausted. I'm now trying to create a work schedule, but how do you decide how many hours you work? I don't work for anyone, and I sometimes see that the less time I schedule, the quicker I finish. And the second question I had is, would you be able to put your focus areas within this work schedule? Let's say I have 5 hours of rest... If two of them are areas of focus (I use them for learning languages, creating my portfolio, and decluttering), I'll only work 3 hours a day... Is it okay, or should I make it longer or not have areas of focus within the weekdays? Also, do you have any empty hours after work? Cos I feel like I've got anxiety that these need to be planned like work. Sorry for the many questions; please let me know if you can give some advice. Thanks!

Good questions. I think this video will help you structure your day. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/i8CXma2Uq8XDn4U.htmlsi=U-6AXv9xxVgpS9Bf As for how long you should be working, that depends on you. I find as long as I get my critical core work done each day, I am happy and will rest whenever I feel I need it.

In this video the sound quality is unfortunately not so good at times, I think because your mic is hanging too high up on your shirt and you cover it up a bit depending on how you move. Otherwise, great tips again, thank you very much. 😊
