I bought these months ago for my 2020 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7 gas and have struggled since with "low beam out" message and one headlight or the other not coming on. Sooo... long story - bought the Masterlink OBD Mx module AND the AlfaOBD software only to find out my truck also requires a security bypass harness to allow changes to any of the body ECM parameters. Buyers of Vland lights beware they don't tell you this and they are not plug and play with additional expenses for all of this later junk adding up in a hurry. Fed up with these products that claim easy peazy hook-up but don't deliver as advertised.

Mine just came in today. My truck came with projector housings and when i installed the Vlands they functioned the way you set them up right out of the box. sweeping turn signal and no blue except on the start up dance. i really love these things. thanks for making me decide to get them with your video. side note- i bought the10 dollar LED fog bulbs you linked for us for us too. i did have to program them in alphaobd for them to work right. my truck is a 2015 R/T.

I actually just bought these and got them today they actually switch that wire for the turn signals so you don’t have to move that ground to where you had it on your install I was so worried about getting that pin swapped but I just looked at your other harness and how it should be for those sequential orange turn signals and it looks like they already swapped them for out of the box ! I’m going to put them in tomorrow and double check but if they do it right out the box I’ll let y’all know ! So other people that want to buy these lights know before they buy !

I picked up the Morimoto equivalent of these lights for my 4th gen Ram with the amber DRL's. They look sick nasty but honestly are so expensive that I cannot recommend them. Seeing your headlights makes me wish I would've shopped around more as their are so many options to still get that sleek look I was going for. Nice video! Loving the look.

Just installed these the other day based on this review. They look killer! I was having a few issues like errors, low beams out, parking lights out, not working on auto... But after reseating the fuse and removing and replacing the neg on the battery - and then driving it a bit, all the errors went way. Been about a week or more and knock on wood, no issues.

Guys I’ve had these for about a month now and although the DRL and all works and looks great, the beam pattern is HORRIBLE. I’ve adjusted them vertically and horizontally, but the beam pattern remains the same. Left side is flat and then it diagonally shoots up to the sky on the right side. I’ve never seen such a disgusting beam pattern before. That’s is my only regret.

I definitely want these they look awesome. Wish they made fogs that match.

Swapped out the factory halogen bulbs on my 2021. I put white led headlights and amber led fog lights. I like to change the bulbs rather than the whole assembly I don’t like all the extra space ship lights. It’s getting out of control these days the new Fords are a perfect example they don’t know when to stop. Extra fog lights or a light bar are fine in my opinion.

I think the DRL's should dim at night or when the headlights are on. Not sure if that's just how you set them up or not.

Looks good! The blue is awesome if you have a blue truck. If your truck is safe brush green the blue won't look good

I like the amber sweep. The blue would actually be illegal in all states! Not sure I like the low beam pattern on the garage door! Also….have you checked into the grill with the LED halo bar on each side that would meet up with the headlamp LED bars. I’ve seen one on Amazon and it looked good! They also installed LED RAM letters. Which I think was a bit much!

I wish the original boot up light show would operate as an rgb. I have a red 16 sport and the blue looks amazing on your truck with the blue paint. Not sure it would look as cool on my red.

These look waaaaay better than I thought - but I still like my alpharex g2 pro ones better, simply because I don't like the reflector look because I think reflector looks dated. Amber sequential turn signal is definitely the way to go, the other options just look super odd to me. But the startup animation of the vlands are in my opinion superior to the alpharex ones. I'd have two concerns though if I'd put these on my truck and use them here in Sweden. One would be if they weren't to bright to pass verification and people flashing because they get blinded, and second thing is... The bottom DRL... Tube i guess? Turns off while my turn-signal is on which improves turn-signal visibility. Another complaint they might have at verification over here - the turn-signal isn't visible enough because the bottom tube stays lit. I do get the feeling that these vland ones are more aimed towards styling while the alpharex ones are more aimed towards functionality. But like I've said before - to each their own and I can totally see why one would go with these over alpharex. The choice between these two brands will be very taste-dependant.

What’s the difference between the reflection bowl and the matrix ones

this video was very descriptive. I unfortunately either have a bad set or a bad wire, lights come on but drl's and turn signals not working. i ran the one drl wire between the headlights and tapped into the fuse box but no drl function and signals are not working.

I bought a set of these myself and I've gotta say your DRLs are way brighter than mine. Mine are dull at best. 😢

I love the headlights but my truck is not blue. I would definitely buy if they had different color options. Having the bright green sport Ram, the blue just doesn't mix.

Master : I want to install a dinamic led on the front grill , I want to turn it on when I unlock the door ( head lights turn on for 30 sec ) but , Idk if there is a few for that , So I want to turn it on unlocking doors and when truck runs ... I can't find the fuse for headlights !! good video

Ok so I purchased and installed the vland projector style of these headlights and they worked great for 6 hours then low beams went out and will not come back on. Any suggestions as to why?

i have ordered these twice for my 2012 ram 1500 both with the same issue the left headlight (driver side) works on both sides and both wire harnesses work on that headlight but whatever I try I can’t get the right headlight to work very frustrating. it’s not my truck electrical wiring since the left headlight worked on the right and my stock lights worked too. please help !

I have a 2016 ram 2500 with factory proctor headlight and got alpha Rex headlight with were like 1300 and it kept burning the resistor the company sent another two pairs or resistors and burned them too do this headlight do the same

They priced decently for this bold clean look, there were some other good looking models for around 1k, but there are many questions and in person things i would like to know of... Can it be set for DRL drop off during blinker? Probably, simply by Alfaobd setting? (I also wish they would have no color, blue, changing mode just simple white DRL with simple full amber blink option). How good is the headlight top edge? As it didn't show too good on video and many led bulbs have them much worse then original omni light source bulb. How blinding for incoming the low beams are in compare to regular quads? Are bulbs replaceable?... I asked some of this Vland with no answer yet, which i kind of understand i'm just aggravating them with questions hard to make written answer for

I ordered them for my 16 Rebel with orig. Projectors. Is there a way to generally disable this blue light? On startup too.... The seller told me to disconnect this blue cable connector, but you are writing just aubout this when switching turn signal mode...

So as of 7/24/23 they are not showing the blue turn signals guessing because in the states DOT prohibits red or blue forward lights. interesting how they are wired for that first. other than that how is the quality. i like the way you configured them. just got my son a '13 ram express so it is low optioned and looking to upgrade it!

Will you talk about why you chose the reflective vs projector headlights? I currently have factory projectors on my 2015 2500 and what I have read is the projectors seem to be brighter down the road and have less blinding effect on other drivers.

Any issues with the LEDs shutting off? I have a 16’ tradesman with quad lights. Bought some very nice LED bulbs. After about 5 mins they shut off. I can either run resistors or get the truck programmed to allow the LED lights.

So if I have factory projectors do I have to depin the ground wire to get the amber turn signal? Or is that just for non projectors?

I have the factory quad lights. They are terrible for trying to find remote camp sites off the side of the road in the dark. Do these light up the side of the road better? Thank you.

So I just got same exact ones except my truck comes with factor leds and my driver side doesn’t want to turn on no power going to it at all ? I did notice the harness didn’t have a click and lock in place the passenger side did and I pushed as hard as I could but it would not click do you think that’s my problem why I’m not getting power ? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
