Superb video's Owen, very informative. Always been fascinated with the CR01 and 02 Dyson washing machines as I like the two Drums turning opposite each other engineering. Tempted to buy a faulty one years ago but never got around to it. Read they stopped making them years ago due to constant Gearbox issues. Well done 😀.

There appears to be too much restriction on the drum. The software is cancelling the spin as the actual RPM exceeds 200RPM less than target RPM threshold. Might be worth checking the motors are OK too.

It’s not done yet. It didn’t heat and has other problems. More videos to come.

Can the contrarotation work again on this machine or is it disabled on firmware level?

It can’t work because the bracket for the inner drum is broken.

A guess maybe due to the Contrarotator system. 1 motor might have been too weak to turn the drum during the Contrarotator agitation process, while having 2 motors would have increased the torque to do it optimally. Less strain for a single motor👍
